Not my first choice as Manager and no doubt many others would say the same. However we need to get behind him and hope that he can last longer than a couple of years. To be successful we need a longer term Manager. Ange had definite defects in his approach which were exploited but hopefully Frank will not have so many.
I expect us to concede less goals but score less. I expect us to get better at set pieces. We will probably be less exciting. I am concerned Frank does not have a good cup record but less concerned that Frank does not have experience of handling Pl & Cl. I expect us to finish in the top half of the PL every year he is here.

Whilst I hope we can build on our Europa win, long term we do need to win trophies and qualify for Europe every year but unless there are major problems we do need to stick to a Manager rather than keep changing direction.

We can announce the departures of Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo from their roles as Assistant Coaches.

We should like to thank them for their contribution to the Club and wish them every success for the future.

Feels like they are clearing the decks ready for an announcement...
🤞

The big backroom staff makes sense to me. Given the amount of prep for opposition Frank likes to do, would seem sensible to have some assistants prepping for league games and then some assigned to the next CL opponents and prepping the sessions ahead of time.

Also worth noting that Spurs had to write off loses to Ndombelly(60m), Lo Celso (50m), Reggie (25m), Sessegnon(25m), Moura (25m), Lamela (30m), Aurier (25m), Sissoko (30m)

Thats almost 300m spent on players that were allowed to leave for free (or just 5m in Lo Celso's case).

Absolutely shocking performance in the managing the squad and transfers, and it's a miracle that Levy wasn't relieved of his duties
They stayed until the end of their contracts though so from a P and L perspective, the costs were depreciated. Agree it’s shit business

Among the realistic options, I have come around to the idea that I may well have chosen Frank after a preponderance of all things. It isn't an appointment that will send shock waves across Europe but I think he's the best available and it could be really good. There's a high floor, but I think the ceiling may also be higher than people think.

I can accept being less attractive if it means, I don't have to keep seeing the team lose almost every week.
All we needed under ange was better balance, if Frank can organise us better, it gives the club a platform to build from.
I think this signing makes sense for once, well done to the club.
