The Thomas Frank thread continues to be a pulsating hive of unity, optimism and love for all Spurs fans as we rally around our new manager with a renewed spirit of hope and togetherness :cautious:

Once your whiny bitch ass is deported/remove from this forum, us real spurs fans will be 'zenned to fuckery'.

The irony if this coming from you.
Spend most of your time being a nasty bit of work to people you don't even know.

I can only assume you're pally with whoever uses the admin login as anyone else would have been banned, even from here, long ago for your general behaviour.

Don't bother responding. You are and always were on my ignore list. It was a mere accident I saw that.

I think I will respond though. You do not get to tell me what to do, you silly little grease-monkey.

Give it a rest. All you do is bitch and moan and then block anyone who even vaguely disagrees with you. You're unable to offer an opinion without throwing in some snide comment to go with it - and don't think that hasn't been noticed.

Don't bother responding. I'd prefer to converse with adults/actual spurs fans. As for accident, you sure you're not referring to how you were conceived?

Blocked - final word goes to me.

I did have mixed feelings about sacking Ange, but now I'm v happy with the decision.

I wasn't looking forward to the new season because I didn't think Ange could emulate the cup win, nor did I have faith that he could turn around the league form.

I'm not sure Frank will bring silverware like Ange (a lot hinders on whether Levy actually backs him), but I do know that I feel a lot more optimistic about the summer window and the season with him in charge.

Pay him no mind, the guy ‘supports’ both us and Woolwich:

From this piece: Vox in the Box: Jonathan Liew

“I can’t ever remember you saying who your team is…

Off the record – entirely off the record – Spurs. Actually, you know what, you can write that but you have to also write the full story. And that’s that my first team is Spurs and my second team is Woolwich. It’s a very clear one-two. They’re not joint favourites by any means, but I do like them both.

How does that happen?

I come at things very logically and rationally. And while Spurs is a very emotional thing, that came from school days, as I grew older I started to question ‘why do I instinctively have to hate Woolwich? I admire their manager, I admire their football.’ And Spurs and Woolwich are demographically the same, there’s no sectarian split there. They’re the same. They should merge. They really should merge. I’m a North London fan.

North London Rovers.

Yeah, North London Rovers. Spursnal. Arsenham. Do it. They should share a stadium. They should play in each other’s kits when they go away from home. That should be the next step. Woolwich should play in a white away kit and Tottenham should play in a red away kit. Eventually they’ll turn ever so slightly pink and then suddenly one day, nobody even notices, they’re both wearing the same colour shirt, with the same sponsor and they’re called Arsenham. That’s the dream.”

Some disgraceful shit right there. That’s why I’m not as down on Ali Gold as some others here since he’s one of the few people in the media who actually supports us
Man should have done to him what William Wallace did, in the middle of our stadium.

Head on a pike at the gates, the lot!

We'd have a bigger crowd than we did for the EL final and parade combined.

You might even get half a dozen goons turn up.

Tell me you don't understand fans without telling me you don't understand fans.

I see nothing but win here.

I think Danes and northern Europeans are far more sensible than Aussies, Africans, Asians and even some north Americans.
Far less likely to follow a compatriot to a team and obsess about it for example. If that were the case, we'd already have a mentalist army of Danes from Eriksen, PEH, Allan Nielson playing for us.
In fairness, I'm Swedish and can tell you we've had a fair amount of Zlatan fanboys during the years who have followed him and changed teams as soon as he did, and they are just as unbearable as the worst Ange fanboys.

I was thinking last night on this, and I am more certain than ever that Ange was a brilliant appointment - through the lens of being a transitional manager.

He broke us away from the terminal decline of Mourinho/Nuno/Conte type football, helped reshape the squad, started building something and (possibly most of all) got that trophy monkey off our back.

I 100% agree he had to go, that he didnt have whats needed to push on - am not justifying him staying.

However, look at his two years.

Frank likes to play an aggressive high press. Ange had this team working harder than any other, with top numbers in high turnovers (when working well)

Frank believes in a hard working team-demanding a lot of running to get from defence to attack and vice-versa. Ange spent two years making players so committed to this they injure themselves doing so.

Frank fosters a family, team environment - Ange has already established that.

Frank works well with developing young players - Ange has brough on some real talent for us here.

It goes on...

Looking at everything Ive seen on Frank I can see him taking what Ange has created and refining and evolving it. The building blocks are already there for him to work from.

Really coaching players, being more tactically adept, organised - strategic - I think there could be some real progress in this team building from the foundation of the last couple of years.

I was/am Ange out, his race was run - and I think things were getting worse not better - however, as "Ange the interim"? I think he did a great job.

And I think Frank will be grateful for what he is inheriting, he takes on a team of good lads, very together, who work hard, are attack minded and talented...

(Im also really excited to see what Frank can do with this team!)
