70m on Mbeumo all day.
80mil on a kid who's not even played 40 PL games cause he can't stay fit...I mean?!?!?!?! Oh and there's a zillion better DM/CM out there...for less money.

What?!? You make no sense good sirDoesn’t always work in football though does it. Is Rice worth £100m, is Wirtz worth £120m, probably not, perhaps 20-30% above what you might expect to pay. It’s overpaying but overpaying to fix what a manager sees as a key weakness. Value for money is good but not when it comes at the expense of team evolution. Looking for value above all else is how we have ended up going through Solomon, Danjuma and Werner for the LW and waste cash.
He had little impact in the PL compared to prior years and we won’t be in the second rate EL so scrub that as a relevant data pointThe only criteria is goals across all competitions in matches he was chosen to play in. And he played a lot of minutes. Its not up to you to pick and choose one set of data suiting your agenda.
Son scored and created assists in most of competitions Spurs played in, including EL, which if you might recall we won and gives us a platform to build from. If he had not played those other matches he could well have been able to play more and score in PL.
One fundamental reason why spurs struggled with this season (24/25) was playing 60 games in the season rather than the 40 odd in the previous season - with a consequent need to play both weekend and midweek. That's why all players but one could only manage to play LESS than 40 matches in 24/25 as the frequency of playing took it out of them.
Son played a decent part in 24/25, if he stays at Spurs next season I think he will largely only be able to play once a week to generate goals and assists. If we get a decent offer (and your suggestion of 8m is a long way below his worth) then it - and as players have agency makes sense for all for him to move on to play in a less intense league than Spurs play in, allowing Spurs to find a decent forward to replace him and get the 24 or so goal involvements which Son got in 24/25 which FEW players do as you ought to be aware of..
But if we only get offers of 8m, he's likely to stay.
no it didn’tThe post I relied to wanted to overpay for any position he wanted to fill.
Shittsouma on his way out? Oh happy days...
The only issue is that no-one is ever going to pay £30m for that useless shite. Just cancel his contract. It's the only way to be sure that the fetid stench of his mediocrity is gone for good.

Solanke 's goals were all tap ins. He is not a forward for a Champions League club.To be fair, Solanke scored 16 and assisted 8 in an awful season where we had no continuity in playing staff and he was, in large parts of the season, starved of service. That's only 4 less than he managed for Bournemouth in the previous season. He's hardly been a failure in that regard.
Football is littered with players who've had mediocre starts to their first season at a new club, then risen to the challenge after that.
Didn't RM fans vote Modric as one of their worst ever buys ever after his first season? Now he sits as arguably one of the greatest midfielders they've ever had.
And to think if Romero leaves we might get the same dough. Crazy price for MbeumoNot sure I love the idea of us spending 70M on a guy who would rather go to Man United purely for money...

First task for Frank is to make sure Romero stays. If we break up his partnership with Van der Ven we want our bumps felt.Keep reading a Romero asking price is 70m
Seems cheap given the prices of some other players. Romero is one of the best central defenders in the world. He's 100m minimum.
Don't think they sign Romero now

You believe we've made an offer? I don't. Still odds on to go to Utd with bookies. What Brentford have forced us into offering £70million. How is Brentford using us?
Is Kyle Walker club trainedWhy do people keep mentioning Kyle Walker Peters? He’s so bang average at best! Why don’t we sign Sessegnon back too! Sign a player because he’s club trained even though he’s not good is bonkers. The same people who mention this moan about how our squad is shit when we have injuries and have to play these types.
We don't need useful, we need quality.
Wasn’t Ange like 1/2 to keep his job like a day or two before the sack? You believe we've made an offer? I don't. Still odds on to go to Utd with bookies.
I was thinking about him - but even with his CT status - i would pass.
As FB we have: Udogie, Spence, Porro and Gray as an option (plus in theory VdV). Think Spence as major cover for both LB and RB is enough. Especially since under Frank fullback role should be simplified.
Only addition i would consider here is either LB/LCB hybrid, or someone like pre-injury Rico Henry (dynamic left footed guy who can cross). KWP does not fit any of those profiles.
Friends in high places and had a lot of dirt on Spanish and foreign leaders/rich fuckers. The journalist who hosted the pod I listened to did a lot of research on him and it felt so bizarre how things always kept escalating. So many times that I thought "surely this is were he goes to prison/faces the consequences" but nope.
Think two days before you could get him at 11/4 to be our manager in September, at which point Frank was 1/3 on to be the next Tottenham manager.Wasn’t Ange like 1/2 to keep his job like a day or two before the sack?
