Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wishing we would sell our players sounds right, like the fans wishing we'd sell Kane to City a year before he left for a knock price fee

Well Done Good Job GIF

Is about the best signing we can hope for. I suppose Newcastle and equivalent clubs will be in for him too.
Assuming they build 1000 flats and sell them for 500k each. Thats 500m knocked off the stadium debt

If Levy is overseeing the building of these flats it will probably go over budget and over the time scale.

Expect a penalty clause, extra labour and material costs to eat into those profits Phil.

Why are you bothered about the transfer fee? It's the modern game.
£50million today probably gets you a £20mil player 5 years ago.
Maybe lower league football would be more your thing.

We don't have a lot of money to spend. I judge our potential spends against how it might be invested otherwise. This is called "cost-benefit analysis". If you need an apple and a coconut, but trade the only three oranges you have for the apple, and then have nothing to trade for the coconut, you have to go without. This is part of what we call "economics"- how to allocate resources in a reality of scarcity.

On the other hand, it sounds like you live in some fantasy world where blowing a club record transfer fee on Kudus is no big deal. It doesn't seem like big-picture thinking is for you- maybe you should just stick to being a casual fan and collecting bobbleheads and kits, dawg.

Which is weird, considering we have a pretty low wage bill, and we've qualified for the CL.
