Great new article from Gold covering the various reasons (excuses) it's close to impossible for Spurs to sign any players right now

I'm not going anywhere near that sewage dump of a website

Any new excuses this time or all the usual ones ?

Elanga will be great business for Newcastle.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

After some googling, I'd say that Sonny is going to stay until Jan. By that point, he'll know if it's worth sticking around until the end of the CL run (assuming it hasn't ended already) or upping sticks and moving to the states for a swansong alongside Hugo or Messi.

is that Gold? bloody hell. it's almost a press release to say 'business as usual'. This is going to be rough.

Tel will likely get most minutes between the 2 of them, but I think Sonny will still have a lot to offer in a much more limited role.
9 league assists isnt bad considering the performance of the team in the league, just 1 less than world class golden boy Saka and Player of the year nominee Fernandes .
There's still real quality there that hopefully frank can exploit
But under Ange it was all out attack so attacking stats and goals overall were good, but overall balance of the team meant defence really suffered and we were easily beaten on turnovers.

I've noticed that these kind of stories always circulate just before Levy sells one of our better players, "Oh but he wasn't committed to the club, so we were forced to sell"
You will even hear people on here parroting that rhetoric like trained seals.

These people always miss the KEY point.
The reason our players are like this is that the club is not showing the required ambition to keep them. Like the fans they can see that Levy speaks with forked tongue about winning leagues etc while shopping at Buy Low.

This sale will then free up funds for maybe a Kudos or a couple of "prospects" you never heard of. The end result being it will likely reduce our wage bill.

And we end up not really having improved the squad at all. Losing one of our better players and punting it on mediocrity.

This is the way we went from this first 11.
Lloris, Walker, Rose, Vertonghen, Alderweirald, Wanyama, Dembele, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane.

To the eleven we have now, where I'm not sure any of them get into that team...

Meanwhile Levy keeps selling an illusion of ambition and keeping bums on seats and punters in the Spurs store.
He really is the master salesman I will give him that. He has at least half our fanbase totally on a string.

Same shit every season, every window. Ad infinitum
Amen brother. Nailed it. The only people still drinking the Levy Kool-aid are the four guys still bent double on the forum making excuses for him. We won't be adding elite footballers to our wage bill as we want it in the lowest in the EPL levels, for the imaginary sale he floats any time the simps get restless.

Easier said then done. Only way is if Frank and Lange say he isnt in their plans and wont play but how do you that to Son? Really does amplify the folly of dishing out these extensions. Both Son and Davies should have been allowed frees due to their length of service. I'm sure the club do it as they either get a fee if they can sell or it means they dont have to spend as the squads packed. Win win for them.
Son to play as much as Davies does. Bench/injury crisis guy.

Which players have we sold in the past, that have gone to a club paying them higher wages, where that was the motivation to leave? Must be loads of them for you to believed this is something we’ve either done, or will do.

Kane? Bale? Modric? Berbatov? All went to further their ambitions, not their pay packets, as far as I know. Can you suggest anyone?
I'm not so sure on that. Kane earns about 2x what he did at Spurs. Ambition plus cash.

I won’t judge Ange-era Son as Ange didn’t have a fucking clue how to get the best out of him. He played Son as a wide forward resigned to sending low driven balls in for BJ to get on the end of which is completely not Sonny’s game.

It is my belief that if Son stays he will be back to his best under a coach who can actually coach a team effectively and who can adapt to get the best out of his players. He may have lost some pace but he won’t have lost his lethal shooting ability which is undeniably world class, just needs to receive the ball further up the field next season and he’ll be fine.

With Eze seemingly out of the picture I can’t see us finding a suitable replacement, Kudus is a RW so won’t replace Son.
