Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Will we actually improve a single starting position in our team this summer?

We all know we need to improve and sign better players but have we really reached a ceiling in terms of calibre of players we can aquire?

We're so tin pot

We are the fluffers for real football teams and proper football clubs.

It's fcuking ridiculous at present, and all things being equal we could be worse..

Frank alone cannot expected to change the dial.

Let me get this straight. Are we as fanbase praying for a player like Kudus now???

Naked Gun GIF

They’ve signed Joao Pedro whilst already signing Delap and having Jackson. They’ve signed Gittens despite having Neto, Madueke and 5 other wingers. They don’t care about the amount of players, they’re stockpiling.

Genuinely like money laundering.
It's mad that they are allowed to continue!

Just shows how corrupt the UEFA and FA are, they're not interested in stopping this. They want to see all the STARS. It's fucking sickening!

We are one of the richest clubs in the world, but don't stand a chance to compete

Kudus will go Chelsea. It's so obvious.

West Ham will take glee in shafting us for a player we want and selling to Chelsea. We will dither because we are too tight to pay what is required. Chelsea will come in and get the deal done in days.

Just watch. Will be just like the Neto situation.

Then we watch a rival in Chelsea and Woolwich, but more so Chelsea, stacked with about 9 top attackers, and we can barely field 3 for the upcoming season.

YAY.

I'm just sick of it to be honest, every single year it's the same and it will never change whilst Levy is pulling the strings.

Got to agree.

I'm at the point where I'm so sick of the utterly predictable way we approach our business every year.

Just fucking change the approach for once ffs.

Seems more like cornering the market, and starving out your rivals. It’s fucking bullshit of course, but there is no body or power apparently capable of punishing their strategy or exerting oversight on their activities, however wasteful or harmful they are to the legitimacy of the game.

For what it's worth, we have a higher net spend the last two seasons than Chelsea does.

That's not to forgive ENIC's leadership nor the utter disgrace of the fake women's team sale being allowed to count on Chelsea's books, it's just to point out how generating a ton of money from player sales has been critical to their operation, and will need to continue to be.

What the fuck Woolwich is doing paying over the odds for their players is utterly beyond me.

It's just so boring now.

The biggest single problem is Levy has to smell he's getting the better end of the deal, otherwise he loses interest.

He has to 'win the deal'

The fact that we might desperately need a certain profile of real quality doesn't seem to be the main consideration.

It's actually pathetic, and absolutely confirms what they're all about...and it's not creating the best team for whatever manager is in charge.

A big player will either fall to us from above, or we let everyone spend all their money and then late on we make a low key, low profile bid for someone like Odobert, who hadn’t all been scooped up by a bigger club.

Solanke I think is a rare purchase where our lack of bargaining power necessitated spending a large fee.

It might be that the club also are going after Muniz as a preemptive move to get in better bargaining position for selling Richalison. It might even be seen by the club that Richarlison and Muniz can coexist in the attack if it were absolutely necessary.
