Still seems to me like their chairman is a nut, basically.

All of this is, I suspect, for two things
1) to save face
2) to try and extort more money from us

Its clear at £60m MGW is underpriced, massively. Marinakis is feeling like he has his pants pulled down and wants to "show some strength"

Not that anything is fully factual here, but looking at the timelines and messages etc - it would appear to me the clubs were doing the deal - its only when Marinakis got involved it went to sh*t - what are the odds he didnt even know the clause was in the contract? Because prior to his interuption - looked like everything was fine/above board/legit.
 
Actually I've read that sky article again and it's bogus.

The title states Forest are adamant that MGW isn't leaving but later on in the article it states "neither Forest or Spurs have commented on these latest developments"

so if Forest haven't even commented how do they know Forest are adamant MGW is going nowhere?

People blaming levy here is hilarious! The guy js actively willing to spend 60M on the player (the actual release clause) the mad Forest 🌳 owner goes nuts and people on here still blame levy?

If forest haven't made a complaint yet then this is a negotiating tactic for them to try and get us to pay more.
Issue here is how levy views this. At 60m MGW represents good value as would expect his fee to have been 70m+. Is he willing to put the bid up to hypothetical 65m which is still a win in order to get the deal done or will he walk away as he knows he's paying an amount over the release clause.
MGW is worth hanging in there for IMO so hopefully we stick around and try and get this done

if he was to know the release clause was 60 and offers 63 he wouldnt be a businessman, hed be a skint mug.

Sky just doing some PR for Forest and egging up the story for clicks

Literally nothing has changed and if Forest haven’t actually submitted a complaint that’s an admission they don’t have a leg to stand on.

And of the week at the latest, MGW signs officially IMO

Marinakis is a bullshitter
