I'd be amazed if this gets done now. Levy isn't going to pay more than the release clause. Marinakis is going to continue to dig in and drag this out. Only the player can resolve this at pace and he turned up at training yesterday so he clearly isn't going to rock the boat. As much as I'd like to see Gibbs White in a Spurs shirt, time to move on. Forest will now have to deal with an unhappy and unmotivated player. Maybe they double his wages and promise him he can leave next summer but we should walk away now and focus on our next target.

You’re right, it does rely on MGW implementing legal action if Forest don’t accept it, as it’s breaking the terms of the contract. His agents can also take legal action due to their client being held at ransom, a loss of earnings for the agent, and Wolves can as well due to a loss of sell on percentage.

Agree - I just feel like this playing out in court is going to drag on and on... leave them to it... even he really wants to join us he should be pulling every lever he can, and maybe he is and it's not being reported.
