That’s cool but since Poch really, anything below 5th has been a bad season

Between these weird circumstances and the general nature of a manager's first season, I think it's definitely true that the criteria of success are more qualitative than quantitative. That’s cool but since Poch really, anything below 5th has been a bad season
0 chance of that being the midfield 3. Highly doubt Johnson on the left tooThis is how I think Frank starts the season
Vic
Porro Romero VDV Udogie
MGW Sarr
Maddison
Kudus Solanke Johnson
Porro overlaps Kudus who plays more in the half spaces. Johnson looks to run in behind Solanke, Udogie sits back a bit more and picks his moments to get forward. Maddison and MGW rotate 8/10 to spray passes. Sarr does all the b legwork
Since Jol anything below 5th was seen as a failure. That’s cool but since Poch really, anything below 5th has been a bad season
The first two games should show us a bit of his "flexibilty" Thinking we see something along these linesThis is how I think Frank starts the season

I'll apologies in advance..... Fuck Ange and his school boy approach to the game.Meh, it's just nonsense because people are comparing Ange's first season and expecting Frank to match or better totally ignoring the context of the other teams and the fact that we're in Europe as well, it's a non comparison and both should be judged by their own merits.
If Frank finished 6th but we get to the QF of the CL and perhaps the final of the Carabao it's somehow a 'shit' season ok then...![]()
The post was about his style, didn't play his usual style in the Europa Cup final.
So his 'style' won absolutely nothing 'BIG TIME'.
Maybe just for a second even TRY to look bit further than last season? No?
In every analysis and overview about what Franks approach is like it is mentioned that the way he made his Brendford team to play in Championship (where they were one of the strongest sides) was very different to how his side played once they were promoted to EPL (where they were clearly one of the weakest sides).
So that means that Frank can make his side play in different ways.
And that in turn means that Franks Tottenham 25/26 might play very different kind of football compared to Franks Brendford 24/25. Did you consider that possibility?
I agree that if we finish top six (or even top eight) and have a good run in the Champions League, or one or both of the domestic cups, then that would constitute a decent first season for Thomas Frank.Meh, it's just nonsense because people are comparing Ange's first season and expecting Frank to match or better totally ignoring the context of the other teams and the fact that we're in Europe as well, it's a non comparison and both should be judged by their own merits.

I think given the extra strain of a CL campaign, that would roughly be on a par with Postecoglou's first season too.
My issue with the above scenario is that a lot of the fanbase clearly think Ange was a terrible manager, and that virtually anyone could do a better job than him.
If the best we can expect from Thomas Frank is that he simply matches Postecoglou's record, then why get rid of Ange and appoint someone who is apparently no better?
Surely he has to show a big improvement on Ange's time here or what was the point in sacking one of the very few managers to win us a trophy?
I'll apologies in advance..... Fuck Ange and his school boy approach to the game.
Why has this great manager (NOT) been head hunted for a top job ANYWHERE in the world?
If he improves on Postecoglou's second season (assuming he makes it that long), we should build him a fucking statue.Agreed but if you're comparing why judge Frank over 1 season when Ange was here for 2?

I think that is my point!
Uhhh what angerIf he improves on Postecoglou's second season (assuming he makes it that long), we should build him a fucking statue.
Ange's first season was just 41 matches. Think about that. One tie in the League Cup (disaster at Fools) and 2 in the FA cup.I think given the extra strain of a CL campaign, that would roughly be on a par with Postecoglou's first season too.
Last season told us everything we needed to know about Ange and Frank. With a win % of just 41% (yes, that's lower than Ange at Spurs).
So.....how well did Ange do by finishing, checks notes, 17th
