Darwin Nunez would be interesting as a Son/Richarlison replacement.

He misses sitters, but his numbers - goals/assists p.90 , xa90, xg90 - are v.good, the other stuff he does is good, and he works absolute nuts off.

Can play off the left or centrally.

In Spain release clauses are a legal obligation based on employment law. In the UK, release clauses are whatever it states in the contract. You can literally make them say anything and have extremely specific terms to be triggered.

The details aren't in the public for you to suggest an owner is ignoring a legal obligation. From every single public report, it's Levy that has ignored the legal obligation.
The issue isn't between Spurs and Forest, it's between MGW and Forest, MGW could commence legal proceedings because Forest haven't stuck to the terms of his contract unless there's anything in there that states he can't.

Edit
Semenyo new contract. So another one bites the dust:

Baleba/Stiller/ Bischof /MGW / Andre?/ Bouaddi/ Camara?

Mintheh/ Mitoma / Eze / Cherki/Akliouche/Semenyo/Ekitike/Mikautadze/Sancho/Fofana (Lyon)/Simons

Would you not think his numbers are massaged slightly by the quality of players at Liverpool servicing him? Would it be wise to buy another incredibly hard-working, hard running striker who’s a bit lacking when it comes to finishing, like Solanke?

yeah, I'm not sure why some people are so confident this is still gonna happen

the release clause clearly meant jack shit

Ornstein and Romano haven't uttered a word about this since it was initially agreed, if it was off then they would have piped up especially that goal hanging click chasing prick Romano.

Seems like its a game of chicken and Forest PR if anything.

What are the terms of his contract that Forest have broken? You have absolutely no idea because you don't know what it says, nor does anyone.

I get that people just want to paint Forest as the big old bad guys, but the reality is every argument from the Spurs side is a simplistic case of "they broke MGWs contract" when they have no idea what the contract actually says.

It is a strange reaction from MGW if Forest have breached his contract. By strange reaction, I mean absolutely no reaction. And strange reaction from Forest to complain to the Premier League about their own apparent breach of contract.

Or maybe the truth is in plain sight, and is actually the fault of the club that assumed there was a clause in his contract that was triggered by doing X thing, who are actually facing legal action. Levy has fucked this up.

Levy master plan working out as expected

Why are we compounding ? Is the expectation that we save the money instead of spend it?
I would say its simply away to compare the time-value of money. We could save and invest the money rather than spend it, and spend it at the end of the period.

Its all a hypothetical that's spun ridiculously out of club because some weirdos think we should be desperate to hawk our stadium to some brand just so we can tick that box off even if it's of entirely negligible benefit.

There is nothing to say Levy has ignored anything. I am a Levy Out person so I have no reason to defend him. If Levy put a £60m release clause in a contract and I thought it was way to low I would be pissed off with Levy for putting it there in the first place but not in a million years would I expect Levy break a release clause. He is many things but he wouldn’t flagrantly break a contract.

Forest complaint is ‘tapping up’ and which is how every single team in the league includes your builds squads as Simon Jordan a former owner talks about. You speak to the agent who asks the player are you willing to come. If the agent tells the club yes then Spurs speak to Forest to speak with the player. The gray area is speaking with the agent but that is now how most transfers work. Athletico Madrid speak with our Romero all the time asking him to come, we ain’t taking Atletico Madrid to court. Regarding the release clause if the agent informs us of it that is the agents issue not ours, they have any NDA, we don’t.

Clearly there was a trigger of the release clause as it was confirmed you allowed a medical. That wouldn’t happened without agreement. Everyone knows your owner is a wild man. So why would an agreed transfer suddenly stop. Why would a triggered release clause suddenly not work. Just as Levy is known for lowballing transfer offer so your Greek guy is known for throwing toys out of the pram.

If it doesn’t go through we should be able to sue Forest for millions though, they literally ignored legal contract.
Sue them for what? For the umpteenth time, they have no contract with us! The relevant contract here is between Forest and MGW, we are only relevant as a third party potentially triggering the release clause. If you liken it to an insurance claim when two cars collide, we're the accident itself! ;)

"Dramatic" is wrong but I think "entirely negligible" is also wrong.

We should do a deal if a deal is there to be done.

But this only becomes something with real potential seismic impact (financially or otherwise) if it's broader than just the stadium naming rights.

Supporters always fuck this up.

We love football. We obsess over it and spend our free time on it.

For professional footballers, it is very much a job.

Bullshit lmao, you have so many footballers who play in to their late thirties/forties when their bodies are literally breaking down (Suarez!!!) because they love the sport so much, even when fabulously wealthy and they could do many other things in the sport. Why are you comparing it to a normal job? Nobody dreams of sitting in an office as a kid, footballers got that good because it was a passion..

There are work elements to it and I'm sure they want a break and it gets tiring but the good ones love and live it and its as much a passion as a job .. loads of footballers obsess/spend free time on football as well.

The discussion is only taking place based on what has reportedly occurred. Which is Spurs met the amount of MGW's release clause, and the owner of Forest or whoever is making decisions are refusing to permit the transfer.

If we're only going to be able to discuss what's not in the public domain then there's nothing to say. You may as well go back to your own team's forum and discuss something else there.

You know he won’t though.

And it looks like the admin is waiting for him, and the other new forest fan accounts to go on a trolling spree when the media finally announce the deal’s off before doing anything.
