We absolutely do need to mix up strategy - we have lot of youth players. Let guys like Gray develop, bring in more experienced players who would have the impact now and who move on (to Saudis /MLS) by the time younger guns reach the peak. Totally reasonable idea.
They get nowhere near Liverpool's first XI. Or City's.

Exactly what happens when your transfer windows consist of opportunities rather than targeting specific players and positions. Its why we have 6 right footed LWF, 8 centre backs with no real DM and no proper rotation at left back.
Don’t believe there’s anything on the Garnacho links. Of course we would have looked at him, but reckon it’s his agent trying to drum up interest. Spending 40m plus on him when Chelsea at getting Simons for 55m would be disgusting.

The Gibbs-White signing/not-signjng detracts from the feeling that we still need real freshening in all parts of the pitch.
If someone from within the club's hierarchy makes it clear that our aspirations are top 6, amd a decent cup run, then fine, at least we know.
I don't expect unrestrained buying, but I don't want to hear talk of title aspirations, and then see expenditure consistent with an 8th - 12th place finish.
