Pre-season game and I'd wanna see how he does there.

Because... it's pre-season.

I put him at 10 a few times last season and got the usual from the Chuckle Squad, then Frank puts him there against Wycombe and he scores 2 goals - first within 15mins - with great - natural - instincts

He's scored a few goals for us with nice strikes, so technique isn't an issue.

Strong, quick.

This game will be absolutely hell if we think we're rocking up there and sticking johnson in attack to not take anyone on and bergvall in mf (not been anywhere near on it so far imo).

Start this game strong and big and match them for stature so we don't get bullied over the park and set-pieces.

Romero sits to form a 3 when attacking and let Porro roam right up for deliveries and spence to charge up and contribute to attacking load with his speed and directness.

Start this game strong or it goes very, very wrong imvho.

Change it up later and insert the rest into a stable game.

It's a meaningless game that will be played half heartedly by both teams.

My prediction. We'll win 2-1 and within 24 hours the 'Race for the Title" thread will be started in earnest

As it's a big exhibition / friendly I will expect the 'Stars' to start...

If Sonny doesn't wow, I'd be honestly surprised...
I think he definitely plays majority of Newcastle match as in Seoul, not so sure about this one though
It will be the case of Frank being told Son (probably a player we will be selling very soon) has to play for financial reasons, which in effect will undermine our pre season a little.

We are going to be absolutely humiliated in the CL

Remember losing 2-7 to Bayern in the dying embers of Poch's tenure?

Well that every week basically

And this squad is going to be hopeless at balancing prem and cups

We are absolutely fucked

We definitely do not have either the depth or quality to compete seriously in both the league and CL.
If we can't improve the squad more I expect we'll try to compete in the league and play ultra-defensively in the CL to try and mask our offensive weaknesses.

I can't really say I agree with the explanation all that much but I do admire your passion and dedication to tactical creativity.
