They seem determined to prove it works after Lenglet, and Werner.
It’s been a waste of time with all of them so far.

Agreed. Built for what Frank used at Brentford. I'd have taken MGW over the likes of Rodrygo and Simmons tbf..Yeh sucks..... I don't normally get too hung upon on prospective targets but as soon as the links surfaced I was like "yes... he'd be perfect".![]()
MGW over rodrygo!! madness.Agreed. Built for what Frank used at Brentford. I'd have taken MGW over the likes of Rodrygo and Simmons tbf..
I think quite a few of you have forgotten some of our worst losses last season, when we got just absolutely overrun by physical PL sides. The Liverpool matches come to mind, as do quite a few others. Ones where we just looked scared and got run through, over and over and over.
Palhinha fixes that. He is a physical, nasty fucker with real bite and venom in his tackles. No one is going to punk us with him in midfield. Attacking buildup will be a challenge… but having a hard cunt in there will be big especially in CL matches and away to top PL sides.
He's alright by me.
Helped fuck their title race, season before last.

Yeah.Hes been there and done it.
I dont consider him an underwhelming signing at all. He will contribute and that is what matters.

I think we were more a tactical mess than physically run over.
Teams knew exactly how to beat us and most of the time it's a patched together lineup.
Played off the pitch, sure. But bullied? I never got that feeling.

Didn't that utter cvnt CB whack Richy apparently he has form well now we can give it backI did when we played Liverpool, we got beat up by them, felt like a physical mismatch. Admittedly though Liverpool are a very athletic team.

Conte wanted Lenglet
Once Conte left, his successor wasn't interested in Lenglet ..... so arguably the loan worked perfectly to match manager and his 'perfect LCB)
