When we had Dembele and Dier/Wanyama as the 2 in midfield we needed Eriksen to make things hum. I wouldn't be against a 1 year contract for Eriksen now, we don't need his legs we need his brain.

It’s gonna be El Khannous or Grealish on loan - my moneys on El Khannous as Leicester will happily sell and Grealish will be on mega wages.

The list of non prem proven players in our best modern era players is much longer and more illustrious
Jack Grealish is a very talented footballer.
Whether or not he has the mentality to put in a shift 3 times a week and train hard is a matter for debate.
I would imagine we would have that conversation with him and City if we're looking at taking him on loan.
As stupid as we all think Spurs are, I doubt they're regularly neglecting to ask these sorts of questions before committing to millions of pounds.
I hate to defend Levy and co, but when we fans see we missed out on this player or that players, it's entirely conceivable that w spoke to them and decided they were too much of a risk.
The only reason not to think that's the case is how many utter duds we've bought like NDombele, GLC, etc. Not so much untalented players, but ones who treat the club and the wages like a right, not a privilege.
Remember when we signed Son. He was tearing it up in a competitive league and we had to compete with others top 6 to get him. Not a bad player all things considered.
Absolutely ridiculous when you consider what a professional footballer can still earn whilst remaining in a competitive league.
