Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

August 4th. Window been open for 5-6 weeks.

Still need a LCB, LB, creative mid, LW and CF.

Also still need to shift Bissouma, Richarlison, Solomon, Gil...

Proper elite club stuff from Levy, Vinnie, Lange & co. But hey, them South Korean 5* breakfasts really are the bomb.

Not strictly true. Dembele, Alderweireld, Wanyama, Trippier. Some of our best ever signings of the last decade have been from the PL.

Even the likes of Hojbjerg, Johnson, Maddison can be said to be solid successes as signings too.

Generally there’s no rhyme or reason to what will be a successful signing though. There’s more risk with adaptation with non-PL ones, but PL signings you pay a tax to get top CL quality generally.

Was Trippier Prem proven? I thought Burnley were championship at the time?

Hojberg is a no in this list. Johnson and Maddison are trophy winners so I think they count tbf

Modric, Berbatov, Bale (Championship at the time iirc? Def not prem proven), Van de Vaart, Romero, Son, Eriksen, Dele…

The list of non prem proven players in our best modern era players is much longer and more illustrious

Told you it will be grealish on loan and elliot watch and it would be dissapointing
Jack Grealish is a very talented footballer.

Whether or not he has the mentality to put in a shift 3 times a week and train hard is a matter for debate.
I would imagine we would have that conversation with him and City if we're looking at taking him on loan.
As stupid as we all think Spurs are, I doubt they're regularly neglecting to ask these sorts of questions before committing to millions of pounds.

I hate to defend Levy and co, but when we fans see we missed out on this player or that players, it's entirely conceivable that w spoke to them and decided they were too much of a risk.
The only reason not to think that's the case is how many utter duds we've bought like NDombele, GLC, etc. Not so much untalented players, but ones who treat the club and the wages like a right, not a privilege.

Seems like pretty soon we will go for anyone who has their own boots . Nice one Daniel , we don’t want to do a Liverpool
