Why cooked??
If we ended the window with Kudus, palhinha, a CB good enough to start with Romero or VDV and a no.10 that's a minimum of 3 players to improve the starting 11, surely any window where we sign 3 first teamers is a good window and then throw in a few punts like Takai and a few kids we bought and it'd be a good window?

Really?
Can you name any no10s that we could get that are good enough to replace maddisons output? Even if so, we need that just to stand still.

Palhinha will help but even that had no significant financial outlay.

Danso we had last season

Vuskovic is a long term signing

Takai will probably never play for the first team

Wtf are we doing? Nowhere near good enough.

It's not really 3 FT additions though, is it... at least not as of today. With Kulu out until... well, we don't really know, Maddison out for a good few months by the looks of things and Son leaving for LAFC, we're at net zero FT additions.

Can’t see the logic of signing another CB without also signing a LWB as the only point would be if we are playing 3 at the back. In which case we’ll need a viable wing back

Even with a couple of additions this squad is only really good enough for a 38 game plus domestic cup season - throw in champions league and we are 3/4 players short of being at all competitive.
For us to go the next level we need
New keeper
Left back to compete with Udogie
Elite number 10
Elite Wide left player
9 that can compete with Solanke .

If Ali Gold is right, I’m fully fucking flabbergasted

Davies in the plans at LB

A CB because of previous injuries at CB but no concerns that Richarlison is our first rotation at CF?

Signing one 10 when Maddison is out for ages and Kulusevski even longer…

Quotes from Frank essentially saying they recruit to their own plan, not what he asks for like they did at Brentford…

There really is very little available in the market in the No10 position. Millot would have been a young punt, and the Eze deal is tough to get done.

A change to 4-3-3, pushing the creativity and play wide, rather than playing through the middle. We have lots of wide players with decent creativity (Porro, Udogie, Kudus, Odobert, Tel). Bentancur, Sarr have shown they are decent at late runs to target cut backs.

it worked for Liverpool during the past few seasons - who never had an Eriksen/Madission/DeBryne type player to build from midfield.

Over to Porro to become to new Trent!

TBF, Chelsea are now owned by:

Boehly- $8.5B Net Worth
Mark Walter - $6.1B NW
Hansjörg Wyss - $4.8B NW
Clearlake Capital - $85B Portfolio
Total - $104.4B capital
Chelsea Value - $3.1B = <3% of ownership's capital

Spurs are 70% owned by
Lewis - $8.3B (been a good year for Joe)
Levy - $0.8B
Total $9.1B
Tottenham Value - $4.4B, 70% = $3B = 32% of ownership's capital

They have an incredible amount of money compared to ENIC. As I've pointed out before - compared to the other Big 6, plus Newcastle, Villa, Fulham and now Everton, we have the least capitalized ownership group.

There's different levels to rich, and in terms of PL owners, we're 3rd tier. Better off than the Dildo Bros. (just), but barely clinging on to 10th in the league. We'll be bottom half after the next big sale goes through.

The simple fact of the matter is that ENIC are too small-time to sit at this table and every transfer window that passes, we are only seeing further evidence of that.

Joe Lewis can fuck off and sell his shares ASAP

Add Frank to Pochettino, Mourinho, Conte and Postecoglu as managers who rate Ben Davies.

I think in Djed we've got a pretty unique player where he can cover either fullback position to a high lever when needed, think people probably underestimate how hard a sell it would be to a player to come here and be third choice left back.

Poch rated him as a back up LB 6 years ago

It was obvious last season his legs were only headed in one direction.

even when loaning vuskovic

Romero
VDV
Danso
Dragusin
Takai

that's 5 centre backs for 2 spots, 4 is enough. But i know how Levy's mind works, it's Romeros replacement he's trying to get now for cheaper than it would be he feels when he leaves

Tel was son's replacement, just as richie was kane's so it all tracks with our usual modus operandi
