What does that even mean?

They would be good signings. Neither will happen of course, and we seem to have moved into the name-dropping period.

In my view we started the window needing 4 or 5 players and I would argue we are marginally closer to that objective but further away from the best 4 teams in the country

And yet we have the owner talking loftier ambitions than ever before. Mental.

I have a view but equally I am very relaxed. I see us as a top 8/10 squad as things stand. Nothing more nothing less. That's my barometer.

He might work hard, but he is absolutely useless and has no right to play any minutes in the PL or CL. If the consensus was for Son to be moved on as he'd regressed a bit (this is true), then the same should've been done for Davies years ago.

Not a standout player by any stretch of the imagination, but KWP would've given us a home grown at club option and is a much better player than Davies, which doesn't say a lot.

It's bonkers that he's still here. Mr. 4/10.

I reckon we can afford him permanently on the salary we will offer if we tell him instead of training he can go on the skywalk and F1 experience as much as he likes and only report to the club on matchdays.

Why not keep donley then? He could be useful in cup games or last few mins at end of games. He had a full season at Os why does he need to go out on loan again.
I really don’t get. All people say is needs to go on loan, play regular football , blah blah blah. All the while we average at best players costing lots of money stinking out the place. All the money spent on forwards and yet we still need to improve in that area. If only we bought proper quality in the first place and spent time developing the likes of donley, Moore, Devine, lankshear etc. that is what a proper club would do. But no we buy expensive youngsters who have proven no more than our boys and people say they are are ready yet but have potential or there is a player in there. As Jim royale would say ‘my arse’.

We still have Philips and dorrington but we know they are not gonna get a chance. None of our s scent players are. We will just buy expensive on young punts who have ‘ potentisl’
 
A bit off topic, but could Bergvall play as a 10 (or 8/10 hybrid)? We could add one 10 and have a complete midfield.

Frank has done some great work with forwards, Watkins, Toney, Wissa and Mbeumo. He also wanted Johnson at Brentford so perhaps he has some plan for him.

Alderweireld could be potentially top 3 to top 5 signings of past 15 years. Dembele clearly in top 10.
We technically brought Toby from Atleti but right after he had finished exceptional season for Saints. So he was very much EPL proven.

There are some regarding whom the jury is still out - Solanke and Maddisson. Latter being on plus side, former so far (considering fee) on rather minus side.

Also by far our most pathetic flops have been from outside of EPL - Ndombele, Lo Celso, Soldado, Sanchez, Janssen, Gil, N'ije, Nkoudou.

So our recruitment have been absolute mixed bag buying both - from EPL and outside of EPL. Both have large share of flops. Both have absolute hits.

Offer him £250k a week and see just how in love with Milan he really is IMO, that's what a proper club would do, Leao would be a massive statement signing and a ready-made Son replacement for 5+ years. He is absolutely shit hot as well, we have not had a footballer that makes football look so effortless as Leao in years, probably since Bale but it was in a different way, Bale was physically dominant, Leao has massive shades of Ronaldinho IMO. Definitely a guy to get you out of your seat and Leao and Kudus on either wing would immediately make us a far better team than last season.

Genuinely think he's better than Rodrygo as well.
