Ex-Spurs Player Heung-Min Son (손흥민)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Official: I am a complete and utter fucking wreck after watching that, as I suspect the majority of us will be. Wasn’t expecting it, and how hard must that have been to show his emotions on camera. Wonderful stuff, from the most wonderful of people.

Oh my good god. That video has actually broken me. I rang my Dad straight away and we were both nearly crying down the phone. What a guy, amazing beautiful human and one of our best players ever. I'll never ever forget him and so glad he recognises the part he's played In our history. (He also said don't say forever so 🤞🤞)

What a fcuking human being.

Absolute legend for this club.

We are unlikely to see his type again.
100% One of the few who put the club before their own personal glory. He knew it mattered to us. It was more than a job to Son. It's most likely partly his culture and upbringing. But he's a fine human being. So humble. So appreciative of what the club gave him. When in fact, it was him giving us almost his entire career at the top level.

Really unlikely to see another one quite like him.

Son left his heart at Spurs.

He will retire within 2 years. He knew that now was the time to leave the fans with glory in their minds and of his best years. The humility shone through as ever.

His destiny has been fulfilled. I am certain of that.

And it's why I still hope we find players, who can do as Son did. Play for that badge with pride and honour.

A man (forget player) never ever to be forgotten

Often gets overlooked but we (as a club and fans) backed him when it came to his national service situation (whilst it hung precariously over his career until finally resolved)...... He will have been profoundly grateful about that.

I must be the only member on this forum that is cringing at this.
There's a certain cutesy-ness to it and everything that has always surrounded Son that we'll do well to allow out the door with him, the club in general needs a very different ruthlessness about it.

But the whole smiley sunshine Son thing and his emotional devotion to the club is and has always been 100% genuine, you can't fault him for that.

And there was never anything cute or cuddly about being the fullback up against Son, that's for damn sure.
