We don't even have a statue for our league winning team / manager - the closest thing is the bust of Bill Nic.
I disagree though. I think it's good to have statues honouring our best players, and I don't think they should need to win a title first. There are plenty of crappy players in other teams who won leagues or CL's - not winning a trophy shouldn't detract from being part of a club's history.
you cant just dish out statues willy nilly, thats seriously small time and would be laughed at by rivals and rightly so.

With Son he forms the record goalscoring Duo in PL history. Son is the outstanding Asian footballer of the generation, PL golden boot winner, stayed with us a decade and won a European trophy as captain. What about these things feels willy-nilly?

It's as much a culture thing as it is a loyalty thing.
It's not unusual for Europeans to move around jobs whereas, as far as I know, Koreans, Japanese and possibly other Asians place a lot of value on loyalty to employers.

Son might have fancied it both for himself, and for the club to get a massive wad of cash.
He was also under a cloud of national service for a large chunk of his spurs career don't forget.
Kane is unique though. He's the clubs all time top scorer AND a youth product.

yea maybe an argument for it then, to be the league's all time top dog while scoring them all for spurs is pretty special. still think the game is about winning, hes won nothing, and hes had chances and didnt show up.
