Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

El Khannouss quickly becoming the most overrated player on here. Most people probably didn't even notice him in the prem last year. Don't let a few social media highlights fool you into thinking he solves our maddison loss

Loop Trump GIF

He is literally a Maddison replacement , plays for Leicester and they got relegated . Nowhere near the ability of Madders but vulture Levy loves a relegated player purchase .

We are a fecking joke as you rightly imply

It's the proportion of revenue that's invested in player salaries though.
We're 20th out of 20.

The obvious conclusion is that we could pay more, much more, to attract better players... but the club chooses not to.

So the obvious question is...where is all that extra revenue going.

We are a football club that doesn't prioritise the football team. Whichever way you look at or try and dress it up, it's a scam.
Bang on. Its a choice not to compete. I dont want us to "do a Leeds" but the ownership simply dont want to invest in ready made first team players like everyone else at the top of the league does. We can do it, its a CHOICE not to do so.

Reminder for everyone that the "I" in ENIC is "Investment". Thats all it is. Investment, not improvement - well not in a footballing sense, anyway.

The more quotes and interviews I see the more worried I get. This just feels like a mess. All the reports about Frank going through the players he wanted during the interview process lol another load of Ali gold nonsense!

Sounds like Frank is 2 months into the job and the club still don't know what he wants. We really have to replace Lange anyway, its been a total disaster since he's come in. Its like he's just muddied the waters and made the whole process of signing and selling players unnecessarily complicated.

Reminds me of that Damien Comolli spoofer we had who ruined Jol's team and turned our transfer strategy into a joke. It was so refreshing when Harry came in and said he wanted to make all the transfer decision. Too many of these cooks in the kitchen and its never worked for us.

FWIW, El Khannouss had 2 assists and was man of the match.
I watched the game. He looked pretty average to me. Didn’t even get on the ball that much. Two set play assists. First a miss hit? That bobbled across the floor. The second a corner.

First half he gave the ball away a couple of times early on, over hit a couple of balls in behind and one shot dragged wide. Second half one nice bits of play on the left, one cross on the right he dug out pretty well. Apart from that nothing much, he was drifting around the pitch without getting in areas to get the ball or really effect it. He doesn’t look particular good athlete either. Fatawu and Winks when he came on we’re better

Posted in the TF thread, perhaps better here...

Thomas Frank on the squad, and how close is it to being what he wants...

"I think that's difficult. I think that there's no doubt that I want, how can I say this, a big enough, small enough squad! You know what I mean?

It needs to be big enough and robust enough to compete in all four tournaments because that's extremely important, but I can't have too many players.

It's just so difficult to keep everyone happy, it is almost impossible, and then we also want to see if we can add in enough quality, but again, we don't want to sign players we don't think can really improve the squad.

Then I would rather wait to have the right talented players. I'm not here for the short term fix.

I want to build something that can last, so we need to think longer term, but of course we need to compete now. That's my thought process."

Lots of late cycle Poch in those quotes. Fair amount of Ange’s last January window as well
