I'm sure he would prefer Woolwich but it seems they need to shift players first. There's a window there for us if we move fast.

The most promising thing is Romano said Eze is keen. I assumed we backed off cos we knew he wanted Arse, but maybe it isn't that simple.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if Palace ask for too much and he stays there.
He knows Gunners are wankers

Would actually be a half decent team

Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Udogie
Sarr Palhinha Eze
Kudus Solanke Salvinho

A lot more running in the team than last season. Kudus, Salvinho, Eze all good runners and Odobert was mostly injured last season as well so now we have 4 quick dribblers instead of none.

Given we apparently still want another centre half and Parish was in the media yesterday practically begging someone to pay the £40m for Guehi so they don’t lose him for free next summer, should we go in and offer them £100m for Eze and Guehi?

Don’t know how advanced Liverpool’s interest in Guehi is, so might be a non-starter, but you’re not gonna get much better value for £100m than Guehi and Eze. They’d instantly improve our options tenfold.

If one thing’s for certain, it’s that Romero and VDV ain’t gonna the whole season without missing significant chunks of it through injury, especially with having CL this year. Signing Guehi means there’s next to no drop off in quality when one of them is out, and gives us a much bigger chance of competing for a top 4/5 place this season.

And then as if by magic Hercules pipes up:

The problem for Parish, he is being unrealistic in how much he wants upfront. Palace are cash challenged, but nobody so far prepared to pay a huge amount upfront, and balance 12 months time. We been talking for a long while, and did not just re-enter talks. And stress here, we CAN to do both deals, Palace and Citeh

Good old Herc.

Suddenly he can announce we’ve been talking for ages and give the finer details of the payments terms we’ve been negotiating.

It’s so bloody weird that he didn’t share this incredible insight to the community before Romano and Ornstein announced the talks this morning.

Even weirder when you have to consider the SC ITKs are always a few days ahead of the media.

I tell you what, that site would really take off if these ITKs were allowed to share their info before media leaks.

Sadly, they always share it back stage with admin and so the minions don’t get to hear it.

Now then, where’s my wallet. Donation time.

It sounds like Eze has agreed to come and personal terms won't be an issue. But now Daniel Levy is tryna get Palace to sell him for cheaper than the release clause lol.

I'm wondering is Levy just playing both Eze and Savinho off eachother and then going for whichever one is cheaper. I find it so hard to believe that Levy will sanction both signings. Maybe Savio was the smokescreen for Eze? Who knows! I doubt even Frank knows which one he'll end up with lol

Absolute guesswork.

I'd be a lot less convinced by the back up 11, certainly for the first half of the season with no Dragusin or Kulusevski.

Kinsky
Gray Danso Davies Spence
Bergvall Betancur Odobert
Johnson Richarlison Tel

That back 4 really isnt great given the VDV, Romero and Udogie injury records.

Need a left sided defender who can cover LB and LCB, a more athletic Davies. Danso is proper solid and Spence is good so not worried about them.

Crazy how bad Kulusevski and Dragusin’s injuries have been.

If we got eze, that would hurt the gooners so so badly.
I really don't want them to get him him. Odegaard has been pretty poor for a few months and its continued into pre season. Eze would offer them an alternative creator and a I don't want them too. I hope we get eze and they start to crumble from matchday 1.

so, Eze isn’t exactly a true ball-distributing 10 in my opinion. You can play him central but he excels at drifting in from the left and ball carrying moreso than metronome passing.

A central midfielder he is not, at least not fully. Asking him to be part of a midfield 3 and dictate play from the centre is not a fully optimal usage of Eze and will come with some trade-offs, namely our speed of passing. And defensively, when Savinho (who also has some glaring defensive issues) will be in the team, it could leave our defence quite limp imo as he’s not a good central presser or tracker of runs.

I think Eze is more of a LW who loves having the ball (Grealish style) than a proper 10. He’s a silky player who can do a lot, but Maddison is a clearly better passer and assists more in deep build-up.
