Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We're not signing Savinho. We're not signing Eze.

Anyone who still believes that we are must have been living under a rock for the last 25 years.

You'll get nothing and be happy about it. It was a "difficult transfer window" and "we tried" but "we weren't going to sign players for the sake of it", "they need to match our profile".

It's genuinely embarrassing we haven't sorted LB yet 😐
Not surprising, though. Our chairman doesn't even like football and he knows fuck all about it. Plus none of his yes men dare speak up.

Udogie is unreliable on many levels. Ben Davies can't play LB in this day & age. Micky's hammies won't hold. And Archie will be a star CF before he's a decent LB. Get that Ipswich kid in, he'll give Udogie a right (left) run for his money. May the best man win (I know who I'm backing). If Udogie still can't stay fit and/or up his levels, get another LB next summer to compete with Leif.

Same with the goalie situation...shouldn't have signed Kinsky in the first place but could've recouped some of that money by selling him to a Lille or Nice. We needed to go after someone like James Trafford or Anthony Patterson...they'd have backed themselves to nab the No 1 shirt of Vicario, and they're the future of the England team.

CB? Same deal. How is Romero still here when he clearly wants out and his value will be higher now than next summer? Could've used that money to go after a Guehi type.

CF? We going into a new season with Dom, Richy and Tel as options. Fuck me. Had we acted early and found the right words & financial package, even a kid like Delap would be here. And he wouldn't even be my star CF newbie.

But then again all the deals we've done so far this summer have been opportunistic stuff, not the result of thorough forward planning..we don't do any of that, big clubs do.

They do match our profile you wally lol

If we get neither it will be down to financials.

Personally think we'll get one, most likely Eze.

How do you know what the budget is....

It's pointless speculating, just let the powers that be worry about the Financials, we're not privy to any of it.

As if they're going to be reckless anyway. Yes big signings don't always work out (Ndombele) but that's with hindsight.

Going on about precise figures and what you'd be happy for the Club to spend on any given player is pointless.

'Just pay what they want' is stupid but banging on about a ten million difference when there's not a single fucking expert on here is equally so.
I’ve no idea what the budget is. Just pretty sure there is one.

Just think it’s weird to not be concerned about what we spend and by extension, how much we give a rival to help them strengthen.

Why on earth would Isak want to go to a club that just finished 17th and is going to have one year of CL before likely missing out on europe more often than not?
Cause 17th was a friggin accident...and despite all that shite we still won a big trophy.

Cause before that we were a serious top 4 contender...for years.

Cause not that long ago we almost won the league and CL...and were the sexiest PL side.

Cause if he came in - along with Eze, Savinho, Kudus & Palhinha - to play under a proper manager like TF, there's a strong chance we'd finish top 4 and qualify for next year's CL.

Cause maybe the kid understand we're a sleeping giant and he could be the match that lights the blaze up...strikers tend to be egotistical maniacs and he fits the bill.

I think its a case of crossed wires a bit here mate.

It's not there should be no concern on what we spend but getting bothered about smaller, more negligible differences, I don't really get.

It's like me saying we shouldn't spend a penny over 50 million for Eze, and then we buy him for 60 and he turns into a stunning signing for us.

Was he worth the 60....of course.

So as a group, having spent ages saying we need to buy players for the ‘now’ to actually be competitive, some would rather bin those players off and go for the unproven, previously relegated youngster in the hope he comes good.

El Khannouss may one day be a top player, but to say, in our position we should go for him over someone like Eze currently is just remarkable in how utterly ridiculous it is.
