Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A small part of me wants us to get humped this evening by PSG, as it is a fairly nothing game that largely amounts to a pre-season friendly and winning might actually be more disastrous than losing, the optics of getting mauled by a proper CL-calibre team for the 2nd game on the trot might actually push the Eze/Savinho deals into overdrive.
Or it might make Levy start to doubt Frank before he's even up and running.
We know Levy closes his wallet when there's a hint he's gonna have to sack "another one"

We have Burnley at home on Saturday. If we can't win that, even without an ageing Son, then we need a lot more than Eze and Savinho.

Got it all planned out.

Levy has to realise he has no choice this time, our quality is well off the pace of Champions League qualification and money has to be spent to sort it out. This isn’t giving Poch the final bits for a title push, this is trying to turn an injury prone squad that finished 17th into a top 4/5 side
I might be wrong.

But i don't think Levy will invest more than minimum until the hotel, apartments, and the whole Northumberland development is built.

And then, Enic will probably sell up.

We of so many glories shunning the opportunity to hoist something of enough notoriety to make the honours page?

Nah. I'd rather sing "champions of europe" somewhat tongue-in-cheek all season.

You're talking about the dumb Muppet who gave us a 33 year old Saha and Ryan Nelson when we were pushing to top the league under Redknapp.

He doesn't realise shit and he's a big of a twat to let a deal fuck up for the sake of a few million on an already £60million deal.

Or they think fuck that I don't wanna be a part of that...

Eze isn't that player and his 'links' are just click bait
I don't think there's ever been so much written about a player for over 20 months who has a fairly reasonable release clause and who is reportedly of interest to every club in England that's not skint....and hasn't gone anywhere.

Eze is proof, to me, that the entire football transfer rumour industry is a sham populated entirely by chancers making shit up and retweeting each other.

Don't know why anyone pays attention to it, really.

On the other hand, winning could create a vibe shift where Eze and Savinho want to come to us even more.

Well fear not everyone, Hotspur88 has chimed in on Savinho

“Was told this was very close/basically done and I have no reason to doubt that info. Haven't been told anything since so will presume that's still the case. Also, as mentioned previously, I'm not going to hound so will have to wait and see if he reaches out.”
