Match Super Cup Final - Spurs vs PSG, Weds 13th Aug, 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's a squad game. Tactically we were spot on. We put in a massive shift but do not have the required quality to come on and see out the result. Psg last 20 showed how good they were brought on the required quality and got the result. Blowing that money on Tel and doing Bayern a favour was criminal.

Good performance, I think most of us expected to get blown off the pitch by PSG. We looked coached for the first time in ages. We showed we need more attacking options massively. Tel is dogshit he really is dont know what anyone ever saw in him for us to sign him permanently other than maybe a potential re sale if he hit form.

Different manager same result. Spurs fail to hold on to a lead.

Don’t get why we just gave up and decided to defend for the last 30 minutes with a 2 goal lead? We looked liked the better team and had all the momentum. At least play someone forward to hit them on the counter.

Chin up, lads. Yeah yeah yeah Paris are exhausted from their 140-game season, haven't really started their pre-season yet, weren't at 100% tonite etc. That's still the team that battered everyone last year incl mighty Inter Milan 5-0 in the CL final and Real frighin Madrid 4-nil at the CWC.

Still, we were seconds away from beating them in normal time, and they really weren't serene for most of the match. Weren't far off in the shootout either, could've gone either way.

The boys worked hard for the club, the manager did his job, as did the fans at the ground.

We live to fight another day.

All fun and games with the Pulis-style football until the team wilted and died about the 65 mins mark.

If you punch off the backfoot then your forwards have to hold it up and relieve pressure. Richy and Kudus did this well, Solanke and Tel were absolute dog shit.

Last 25 mins just got wearier and leakier and no respite. Not a surprise we didn't hold out, but still pretty disappointing that we didn't considering at what 85 mins it was still 2-0.

Back to Tel - Anyone with sense knew it was a mindboggling signing. He'll just keep confirming and confirming this, until we park him out on loan for the last few years of his deal. 1% talent, 99% incoherent mess of a player.

Like watching Newcastle with Howe. They became Bournemouth, we are in danger of becoming Brentford. Bully your way into a match with two set pieces then park the bus from 44 minutes onwards. Nothing suggests Spurs have or will progress but we will steal games

I think the biggest shame here is that if we had gotten this one over the line we would have had a huge shot to our confidence and belief in Frank's methods immediately before the season begins. I think the players would really react to such an impact in the short term.

Unfortunately with the nature of the way the game went it will hurt a lot, being 2-0 up and then letting it slip. I'm sure the players will be professional enough to get their heads down and crack on but damn we really could have done with that added confidence that would have come from a big result tonight.
