No disrespect on Sarr but he isn't creative, and if we don't sign Eze (or another AM) , he will be our AM, so its from that POV.

Signing an AM will allow Sarr to play where he is (and do what he does) best.
Sarr "created" out goal in the Europa League final. He picked Johnson out by crossing a ball 20 yards onto a sixpence.

What exactly defines a "creative" player?
Genuinely curious on this. Is it only creative if the ball is played on the ground?
I'm not saying he's going to become an Erkisen or a De Bruyne, but he's a good all round player.

This window really is bizarre

Current

Maddison/Kulusevski injured
Son gone
Palhinha and Kudus in

weaker than last season

Potential

Eze
Salvinho

Two top players transforms our attack. Strong window.

feels like so much of our season rests on getting this over the line. The mood of the club going in two directions.

One thing that never fails to make me laugh is how we back managers after they are gone or going.

Poch: got him Lo Celso but squad was finished at that point and I think he was to.

Conte: needed 3 good CB’s and two wing backs. We now have VDV, Danso, Porro, Udogie on top of Romero.

Ange: builds on wingers who can dribble and beat their man, we only had Odobert who was injured. We buy Kudus and look to get Salvinho and Eze who all can dribble very well.

It’s like our scouting/buying is slower than our manager sacking process.

Savio has been involved in the majority of Man City's last 45 games - it does beg the question on why they're selling him as he's even played their club world cup games? He's most certainly not been sitting on the bench much

Be interesting to see if he plays against Wolves tomorrow.

Why did City sell Palmer when he balled for them?

They have tons of elite footballers but you can only play 11 men and apparently Pep likes a small squad. They have Cherki, Doku, Bobb, Foden, Silva and if rumours are to be believed want Rodrigo.

Different players but can all cover the wide areas and all 9/10 level players. They are just overstocked. Also Savinho and Doku got lucky Bobb got a really nasty injury, he looked immense in pre season prior like Palmer did, if he is properly back now Pep may have called it for Bobb.

Savinho is fantastic though, better than Martinelli by miles and the potential to be Saka/Bowen levels in 1/2 seasons. It would be an amazing transfer.

The sheer number of Savinho spellings in this thread is a sight to behold.

It’s fine we are just going to call him Dave.

Its interesting the Cole Palmer thing - didn't he come through their youth? So I suppose If you're already here then it's easier to write you off.

Maybe they just see selling Savio as a win win - make a profit and use that to upgrade.

Savinho might end up as good as Rodrygo and that is a possibility but he is probably 2/3 years away. City are in a position where they can fix the here and now. As for Palmer yeh youth team.

Bluemoon seems to have accepted that he's going and have now talked themselves into us overpaying for him at 60m+. It's funny because at the start of the thread they were very much against selling him but suppose they are like the rest of us and have talked themselves around to it.
