If reports are to be believed then it’s only another £13m for Akliouche who looks three times the player
And we can count on Agent Eric to be in his ear about Spurs

Oh I'm frustrated! I want Eze plus one in before window end, Ideally done yesterday. There's just so much mad stuff going on and I understand that we're trying to take Palace's best player and it can take time. Obv if it doesn't happen I'd be fuming.

it's doesn't mean I'm gonna agree with stuff like "Levy purposely seeks out deals he knows that he can't get done cause he loves wasting his own time" etc

In the same way that signing Eze is great for our brand because we are signing a top level player in their prime, having loads of fanciful links out there to appease fan unrest feels exactly like something this club has done before

but inevitable not getting those players in only leads to even more anger and frustration. I don't buy it mate. it'd be like buying the weapon for your assassin.

Looks like an athletic player who will over perform in less athletic leagues to me.

Swear they signed him as a LB/LWB? And because he’s not that great with the ball, he’s been moved to CB
It genuinely, physically pains me to consider the possibility of Todd Boehly having done something smart, but I have to admit, the nature of the transfer market tends to structurally make it so that the only players buyers want are ALSO players you yourself want, there's never any selling value to accrue to player assets you own but have no desire to use, with the market tending to sniff that out except in rare unique cases.

Boehly just seems to have found a way to totally break down that signal by so comically overloading the squad with sheer numbers. The fact that these are players Chelsea doesn't want or need does not negatively impact their value at all.

And it also seems to make all of these guys willing to sign onto whatever deal Chelsea makes for them.

(The part that still baffles me is why do players keep signing up to join this farce? The wages aren't that great, that's part of the whole scam!)

Roma and Lorenzo Pellegrini are reportedly looking to part ways.

The Giallorossi’s number 7’s contract expires on June 30th 2026, and the club has not made any offer to renew it.

There are several reasons for this decision: the unfulfilled connection with the new coach, the decision to take away from him the captain’s armband, and his €6 million net salary, reports Corriere dello Sport.
Since the beginning of August, West Ham have been interested, and they’re ready to explore the matter further.

Also in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur have inquired about him.

Don’t make any market sense to me. Everyone knows they have loads of players they can’t shift. There’s no honest reason for these clubs to be obliging them and not just waiting for the desperation to kick in and the prices to drop

I'm not sure how this makes you initial post any less asinine.

Anyway, if you are now asking this as a separate question, then, yes, I do not think that that "sense" is ridiculous.

Factual history of Baldcunt's behaviour in the market -- phantom pursuits of players -- would greatly support it.

I think I'm on solid ground , bro.

Great point, Tottenham are the only club that gets linked with players only to not end up buying them.

Bit of a prisoner's dilemma though, right?

And also, they will sell basically anybody, and will keep basically anybody. The deals drive the squad, not the other way around.

The calculation is that by spending up to the PSR limit and having a manager who is happy to live under those terms, they will make up the advantage in the aggregate.

We'll see. The kind of dual squad system they had in the ECL is going to be more difficult to pull off in the CL.
