Tel and Odobert fees add up to what we could’ve paid for Eze in a release clause a year ago.

Would any sound human being take Tel+Odobert over Eze? No, just our Levy.
 
I will give it one last season and try to cut the ties.

Its not just this transfer situation, this has been Levys MO ever since preparations have started for the money printing stadium. Including a transfer window without a single new player!

The entertainment venue rakes in millions and millions. The question is - where is the money going to?

This is the key thing for me.

Not even the fact that we didn't get it over the line. But we should've seen he was more interested in Woolwich potentially coming in and just moved on.
 
Just sitting about for the last few hours and there's no cutting it any other way this is a crushing disappointment.

It just felt like we were on the verge of getting a genuinely fantastic player one who would be a perfect fit and one who I thought was never happening earlier in the window when we were linked and then for it to go from almost here go to here we go for those cunts???

I'm still in shock TBH, first few people I saw RT'ing the updated I assumed they were posting a fake Ornstein account.

Yes the club could have offered more and maybe that would have swayed him in our direction but it's also just as likely he's been waiting for Woolwich to come back in for him.

Rogers would just end up being another saga like this until it eventually wouldn't happen. Not even worth trying.
 
After the Gibbs White saga this is such a kick in the dick. You just knew deep down the way it was dragging on that it was going to happen though. No doubt about it, he'd have been a fabulous signing for us but as per we miss out. The reality is he'll have known all along that was where he wanted to go. All they had to do was wait for us to procrastinate our way to agreeing a deal, get the nod from his agent, then make their move.
