Mental to think Woolwich have finished 2nd and not rested on their ambitions and instead added Gyokeres, Madueke, Zubamendi and Eze to their squad, 3 of which will start.

We finished 2nd and decided we didn’t need to strengthen. We finished 3rd and decided Vincent Janssen and Nkoudou were the answers.

Hate them all you want, they act like a big time. We have owners who want to talk big but act small. Profit over prizes as always.

I'm unsure about Gyokores, but their attacking options are miles ahead of ours . I actually can't believe how bad our left side is for a CL club. And if Kudus gets injured we are in big trouble

Gyokeres, Madueke

mate - lol, Liverpool bought Ekitike and Wirtz.

They have their place in the pecking order too - they are feeding off the scraps, no way those signings elevate them from 2nd to anywhere

I’m not saying just sign Dibbling. We need others obviously. But he will be a very good player. So much better than Tel, you just have to see how he receives the ball and travels with it. Great balance and ability. I really like him, still think it would be a good signing but we definitely have to do more on top, I agree
Dibling isn't so much better than Tel. If Tel was playing for Southampton he'd standout too

He will be our 4th choice RW after kudus, Kulu and Johnson, seriously what is the point

Can people stop waxing lyrical about fucking Woolwich in here - this shit is bad enough without having to hear about why you think those cunts are doing so well.

They have spent a hilarious amount of money to stand still and they will likely end up finishing lower than they did last season after Liverpool and City both bought 10x better than they did.

They'll keep knocking on the door until they win. Most their team is on over 200k a week and Artet gets to spend 300m most Summers. They keep on backing him. Its inevitable that they'll eventually win it. Their owners are ambitious and thats their sole goal. We're not the same unfortunately.

Can't argue with this at all. And it's precisely why, under our current owners, we're all better off trying to enjoy life without Spurs ruining it continually. The way we do business as a club wont change under this ownership. Sure, we can join protests and push for change, I'm not saying do nothing.

But until that change comes, we're better off trying to ignore all the speculation and transfer talk, stop making threads about players joining and keep our expectations as low as possible.

It's always profit over prizes for ENIC.

Well thats the sucker punch about the whole thing. If Eze stayed at Palace and rejected us I don't think we'd be half as disappointed.

Its the fact that he's gone to them and could easily make the difference. Thats the reality of the situation and a total kick in the teeth.

Why? Levy fucked up the deal not Eze

He agreed terms with us and then went running back to them like a desperate puppy. He may have played us by accident but he still did it. There are clubs you don’t do that between. If this was Inter and Milan? Boca and River?

We aren’t that hardcore but there’s no avoiding the way that this played out fully took the piss out of this club and for the worst club possible.

Pretending they're not strengthening while we are the ones actually doing the standing still won't make it go away.

Telling people not to vent isn't going to work.

Agreed. Fuck em. They needed this because they can’t really win anything themselves so had to cook up some other way to get a win over us. They still aren’t winning anything this year.

This doesn’t erase how bad they made themselves look after Partey as well
