Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Trouble is that those days appear to have gone where if you give a verbal agreement or a shake of the hand the deal was considered binding. That is a real shame!

He might but we saw real flashes from Tel at Bayern and look what we are seeing from him. Getting Dibling stinks of mid table shit. Hate it. Hate the thought of us spending £40 million plus on a kid who’s not got great output in terms of goals or assists. We’ve spent £110 million on Gray,Tel and Odobert and got fuck all in return so far.
go and watch some clips of dibling, hes nothing like tel. this kid looks like an actual footballer, tel does not.

Works both ways. Clubs give handshake then don’t follow up. You’re right it’s all about what is in writing. Same with your job. I have seen people fucked over by companies that gave promises, as in actual promises then gone the other way. Can’t trust anybodies word, it means nothing.

YESTERDAY

Tessem, speaking on BBC Radio Solent, who he now works for as a co-commentator, said: “It's a tricky one. It's not helping anyone.

“He could have handled the situation differently in my eyes and it would have been to the benefit of Tyler Dibling and to the benefit of the club. People will be sold if the price is right.

“I think he has to accept that he is the property of Southampton Football Club and we shouldn't sell players cheaply. He has to have that understanding that the price they are asking for is fair.

“For a young player like him, a super-talented player, it is the price that they go for. You are in the business world of things.

“But I think the situation could have been handled differently. He should have been training, he should have been with the team. Until you are someone else's property, you belong to Southampton Football Club.

“Let's put a line under it - he is back. He wants to be committed, join in and play. Okay we draw a line under the situation and he's now part of the team so we can judge him on that.

“There is no doubt that Tyler Dibling is a super-talented football player and we want to see him fit and ready. If he can show his team-mates he is ready, it will never be a problem.

“I think he would benefit from playing in the Championship, playing week in week out and competing for a place. He has put himself in a bit of an awkward position and the reality is that he might be here after 1 September.

“I don't think there is anyone else but Everton who have put in a bid, from what I have understood. That means if they are pulling out, there is no-one else.

“He might have to get his head set on that and get on with the disappointment. If he's going to play the blame game and say: 'Southampton should have sold me', it's going to hinder everyone.

Ian Storey-Moore being introduced at the Baseball Ground. He then signed for yanited!

We need to make move for Damsgaard and Wissa, they are both gettable, PL proven and they know Frank. Not special players but they would be a huge help for us.

For £80-90m we could get both of them, Savinho just isn’t going to happen.
Sure, sure, but why stop there? We should just merge with Brentford. We could play 50 percent of our games at the Lane, and 50 percent at the Gtech. It'll be magical.

Regardless of fault for MGW or Eze the fact is this isn’t the first time or the last time we have to result to our second or third choice options in the last weeks of a window. Giving players no time to bed in. And dealing an unfavorable squad to a new manager is criminal

If we were to sign Savinho and someone like Paz it would still be a brilliant window.

A Savinho and that french number 10, I've not seen him play but I guess it would be a decent window.

But the sad fact is it's a big IF.

We are likely to get neither and will probably end up with Dibling and some other punt.

If that happens I hope the fans truly riot next home again.

It's actually sickening to think we finished 17th and Levy has signed 1 first team player to improve the team.

The problem with the majority of the fanbase, is that they just want any new signings. I guarantee if Levy presents Dibling and some other punt, most of the fans lap it up and Teflon has once again got away with it,

The simpe fact is we are 9 days from the close of the window and we have huge gaping holes at LW and number 10.

We don't have a single proper first team quality option in those areas, meanwhile our rivals have multiple.

It's frankly unforgivable. We are one of the richest clubs around yet we somehow seem to be run like utter paupers.

It's Levy.
