Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Eze was never signing for us, even if we offered the same or more than Woolwich. He wanted to.go there so I am not so sure we coukd have done anything about it.
Not sure we coukd have done anything else about MGW either.
What is disappointing is we have known about the need for certain key positions to be filled for a long time and its impossible to compete on all fronts with the squad currently no matter how good Frank is. Giving up reading transfer news until after the window, it's depressing me.

According to Ornstein we could have done the deal but our negotiations where to slow and gave Woolwich the chance to pounce after they got the Havertz injury.

Fuck this lying snake.

Seeing the way this has been reported and Eze now not playing for Palace, I was wrong this isn’t Sol Campbell, it’s Lasagne-Gate.

Most obvious gooner skullduggery ever and cunts like Ornstein and Romano helped to sell the story perfect.

i disagree. levy wouldn’t pay what was necessary to close the deal. that’s why eze was still playing, that’s why we got hijacked. you can say we wouldn’t overpay but sometimes overpaying is the only way to get it done. you get a chance to sign a great player who’ll transform the club you do it. not quibble over performance bonuses and deferred payments. we’re simply not an attractive destination for a lot of top players and the only way to change that is to spend and get better.
I’m not saying Levy is blameless yes I agree there been situations where I’ve been screaming in frustration hearing about him(Levy) penny pinching and bidding under the amount the selling club wants , yes don’t get done over but (N’Dombele) prime example he did what needed doing then look what happed he’s damed if he does, damed if he doesn’t…….but why did palace insist he play (Eze) play tonight when everything ā€œapparentlyā€ was done, hypothetically if Eze was injured tonight then what ? Nobody gets a player as high profile a transfer as that and allows him to play for their current team goons haven’t? As for an attractive destination there’s no reason not be, state of the art stadium, training facilities + staying in one of the most multicultural cities in world it should be a no brainier playing for Tottenham , yes one reason they don’t I’ll agree on that point Levy…….

I think you’re reading way too much into this mate .

We could have got the deal done. He wanted to come here. We dillied. We dallied. Woolwich got an injury, and they acted like a big club and swooped in and sighed him.

He played for Palace on Sunday because we were still dithering and no deal was done. He’s not playing tonight because a deal now is done with Woolwich. If it was ā€œhere we goā€ to Spurs he would not be playing tonight either.

Shout and scream calling Eze and Ornstein names all you like, but the reason Eze is not a Spurs player lies squarely at the feet of Daniel Phillip Levy, no one else.

I am sorry, I think he is covering for his nonsense. Why would Woolwich care whether Tottenham were stumbling? They knew Ezi wanted to come, they had already agreed a deal with Palace informally and had agreed personal terms with Eze.

The only reason they would care is they would have pay more...nothing to do with stumbling.
