Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

According to Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur are now eyeing a move for Alexander Sorloth from Atletico Madrid.

The 29-year-old Norwegian is looking for a change. After the arrival of Julian Alvarez, he is not the first-choice striker for Diego Simeone.

Even after scoring 24 goals in 53 matches, Sorloth feels inferior to Alvarez. That is why he wants to return to the Premier League.

Ah yes the typical Spurs window. Miss out on all major transfer targets in pathetic fashion, get links to other quality players that come to nothing as the deal is too difficult (we won’t pay enough) and then we get the links to all the Chelsea rejects just before the deadline, none of which we actually sign, to then end up with some shit player on loan or an unknown French kid for 15 million which the club will present as if we’ve had our sights on him since he exited his mums vagina

Yes, to a degree. I don't think the missed opportunities are ALWAYS financial reasons, some clearly are - personally, I don't see Eze as being in that category, but there have, of course, been others that are.

But I was asked what I thought our strategy was - and I gave an answer, which, judging by the players we have bought the last few years, seems pretty accurate.

I agree with you.

Just to add that in times like this, it feels like making false or unsuccessful moves to showcase ambition is as fundamental to our strategy as buying young players to develop.

That precedent has been carved deep into our history with ENIC.

Not to go all Spurs Community, but sharing a Fichajes rumour should result in an automatic banning…🤣

The sad part is that after having agreed terms for Eze and not got him. Having a here we go for MGW and not getting him.
The club will now leak nothing about business for the rest of the window.

Whoever we bring in will be kept silent until it is virtually happening.
But no one is really hyped for the suspense. Whoever it is represents failure in the window and won't be as good as either MGW or Eze. Levy would have to become the goose laying that golden egg and somehow getting Rodrygo for this statement to not be true.

Fuck Levy. Just once act like a chairman of a big club and not a cheap imitation of Brady and Sullivan.

I'm actually ok with that. Much better than hearing about them pissing into the wind like usual.

Garnacho is nothing more than man u hoping we come in so that Chelsea bid for him. However, I did say a couple of weeks ago if he hasnt moved I wonder if we will have a dip at him for £20m. If the chavs havent bought him in a week's time then I bet we try, however much of a bellend he is.

20 million ain't getting zip.

Bloke is easy worth much more in today's market.

I think he is a talent.

No one is defending Levy/ENIC, but neither are some frothing at the mouth like rabid dogs.

I think all are in agreement tbat we need to see quality signings and that right now we are short of where we should be.

And very few will be content if we end up with just a talented but young Dibling, and some other youngster.

The Eze effort was the poorest judgement I have seen in a long time.
For me it's the dithering and taking so long over signing players - just fucking sign them!! - if said player fucks around move on. Levy does this all the time, hence losing out on players. Also whoever does 'the due diligence' needs firing.
