I can't quite put into words the disgust I will feel if Levy fails to back Frank over the next week.

Once we get up to two games a week, our attack will be utterly fucked.

If Frank is having to field Tel Odobert and Solanke in CL games due to rotation, he's on a hiding to nothing.

Sadly we have been here so many times before. It has to be minimum of two top signings, ideally a 3rd CB too.

If we just sign one its tragic, and none would be criminal.

Please for once in your life give our manager the tools to compete properly.

All the other top clubs have signed loads of top talent, there is no excuse for us not doing it.

No way can they afford even the wages for a loan, surely?

Would they sacrifice Rogers?

Edit. Villa fans would actually sell him for a decent offer. Hes getting alot of hate and they think hes downed tools. They think hes been poor and feels hes abit of a Billy big bollox now. He was very poor today but he had such a big goal and assist contribution last season, 26 wasn't it?

I don't think Rogers is great and if we get Savinho he wouldn't make a lot of sense. Rogers is another good ball carrier but his passing isn't anything speciel. 80m or above would be mental. We could really do with a passer. Only one is Maddison and he's out

Yes I think you're right. Hes not a passer but hes fantastic at crashing the penalty box and that could work extremely well with savio and kudus. Hes not a traditional 10 at all though. But if you use the wings for creativity then having a 10 like Rogers is ideal.

Im struggling to see us sign any of them tbh.

I just think villa are in a desperate situation, they need to freshen things up and hes the one that worth the money.

Agree with this.

Also worth remembering that we’re now a ‘transition’ team. All about winning the ball and flooding forward. Can’t think of anyone better at that than Rogers!

Think he’s way too much of a pipe dream now, though.

It’s a non starter as Strabourg are BlueCo and would never sell to us, but Bakwa is a powerhouse.

Bakwa is a lively fucker for sure, and I'm a bit surprised Chelsea would let him be sold outright (without some kind of buy back) but Savinho for me. Despite being younger, his numbers are better, in a better league and is v.good on either side.

It's funny when some people argued that Villa had overtaken us, just because they had a couple of decent seasons. That was their "flash in the pan" moment and they'll be back to mid-table mediocrity.

We didn't dodge a bullet. Eze was and still is an elite player and if he had signed with us would have put in 100% effort to help us win and would have elevated the quality of our squad. I still think it's a shame he preferred Woolwich to us, but players have agency and there's nothing we could have done about that.

Nah the way he was looking around the emirates as if to say “am I dreaming” tells me we really didn’t want him at our club.
