Looking at rumours, what do we think likely/possible?

- Paqueta = feels like a potential move to me. I can see Frank liking him a lot, works hard, defensively very strong for a 10, good in the air, great at crossing (especially from those inside channels Frank likes) and skillful and can beat a man. Not the premium #10 people are looking for but IMO a solid option and attainable

- Simmons = Probably another embarrasing fail

- Savinho = looks off at the moment, but I suspect we'll still push. With the player and agent on board I still think its 50/50

-Mainoo = I like a lot, but as said before - just not sure how he fits. Still, given his age, price, HG status, quality... very much the sort of buy we would go for

-Garnacho = linked early in the window, gone quiet since Chelsea got invovled and we moved onto Savinho. Im not sure I buy the bad attitude accusations levelled at him, I think under someone like Frank he could thrive. Talented, HG, cheap (relative) and high upside, much like Mainoo feels a lot like our sort of business

Thats my preference anyway. I'd rate them as better signings than Lookman. Ndiaye looks unreal any time I watch him play. Savinho huge potential and seems to be Frank's preferred target which is worth a lot.

Appreciate we all have different views.

I like Sav and Ndiaye actually, think they both would be good signings, I just can't believe anyone turning their noses up at Lookman, it's mental -it's pure Premier League snobbery.

Not very good rotation, for fullbacks, a position that is run ragged in Ange's "system", Porro and Udogie started every league match up to Bournemouth on 5th December.

He made wholesale changes for the Europa Group Stage, that's not effective rotation in my book, you just end up with 11 players looking like strangers.

Most of his changes to the League lineups were forced by injury or suspension.

Frank fielding a midfield of Gray and Bergval on the opening day was a matter of spotting an opportunity to use the backups at home to weaker opposition, allowing them to integrate with the regular first teamers, not just another 8 back ups, and not just waiting until the first choices are either broken or knackered.

If he keeps that up we should benefit not only from fewer injuries/fresher players, but also from the stand ins actually being in tune with the other players when they are called upon.

I should hope we'll see similar with Solanke/Richarlison, and also the wide players, though with them the worry for me would be that none of the others can really replicate what Kudus is bringing to the table.

Hope so mate.

I just see the same numbers in the squad. Especially at CB and FB.

Wait, what are we doing here?

22 goals in 44 matches last season (last 3 seasons he's hit 20/18 and 22 in all comps) 15 in 31 in Serie A last season and 5 in 7 in the CL - goals against Napoli, Milan, Roma. Real last seasonfor fucking Atalanta - guy turns up in big matches and he's in his peak!

This thread is absolutely cooked man :roflmao:

How it is crooked?
Because people don't want the player you are drooling upon?

Nice going!

Lookman signing would be absolute shocker. Would give either Tel or Odobert those minutes.
28 yo player who has been total shit with no output in every club .... before Atalanta... a team that plays Ange-style football, scoring 80 and letting in 70 goals per season.
And who has identified that they have polished the turd enough to sell him to someone stupid for 60 mil, not even playing him in order not to ruin this kind of robbing opportunity.

If we'll sign him for 50-60 mil, he will be off to Saudis for 20 mil in 2 years time, after we have wasted time and lot of salary on him. Hope we are not that stupid to buy player that his club has been trying to ship out whole summer.

So someone close to the plans is passing on a list and updates.

Time will tell, but that midfield selection for the first game gives me hope that we'll see Porro/Spence/Udogie basically starting the same number of games as each other over the course of a season.

In a weird way it will help having only the three of them in rotation, as it will lead hopefully to just a regular fluid rotation of them all. Whereas if you have a pair on either side it kind of becomes obvious over time who is the first choice pair and who are the backups. Maybe I'm just thinking glass half full.

All relies on them all staying fit though, as if one goes down long term the other two are going to get flogged into the ground again.

Oh sorry yeah that's right, let's ignore a players form over the last 3 years from the club we sign them for and go back previous clubs.
This is exactly why this fucking thread is cooked, what am I actually reading here fucking hell :harrylol:

Pointless addressing the rest of your post, full of factual inaccuracies and nonsense, just totally on brand with 90% of nonsense in this thread actually funnily enough.

Bad news because it frees up money for Chelsea to sign a 10

Good news because it will probably be Bayern’s last big signing so Simons to Bayern is a no

Not good enough for us but somehow okay for Bayern. Strange that.

No player with any desire to be part of something of value should ever tread near that West London filth, and shame on thise on here who talk of their fcuking so-called ambition.
