Hmm, not sure I agree with Frank that we don't need another CB.

A LCB/LB hybrid and a LW would make this a fantastic window

I think the Sav dream is dead but Lookman would be a good alternative imo.

All the Rogers talk is surely bollocks. He is their crown jewel.

"The Goat hears a CB is likely to be next, with Ake and Akanji, two names passed along. We did enquire about Nathan Collins at the start of the window but got a hard 'no'

Savinho is still possible, if not, then a deal for Lookman is being explored, this will probably run until Monday. Lee Kang-In was also mentioned but nothing about how serious or how far along that might be."
Another insightful update from The Goat. Didn't know any of this information before he posted that.

This is exactly what the reporters are saying. “IDK”.

Johnson high and wide on the other flank also offers license for Kudus to drift into midfield and be a ball-advancer extraordinaire, his greatest strength, plus offering the wing cover that Porro needs.

It would also be different if we had a mega prolific CF, but we don't.

Johnson is no superstar and has his weaknesses and I don't blame people for being frustrated with him. But the way these conversations drift into acting like goalscoring isn't important is ridiculous.
Think you’ll see when we have the ball on our left he drifts in. Number of times Spence has the ball and he has no one in front of him. He can’t develop that over lap with Johnson.

You think the talk of buying more wingers is coming from Frank not being impressed by Tel and Odobert in training? you basing that on quotes from him or just your own wild assumptions?
Well we have been after savio for weeks that tells you everything you need to know. Actions speak louder than words. The signing of Tel was a huge mistake for the composition of our squad. We didn’t need another inexperienced youngster not at that price. We already have oddebert, Moore, Yang, Solomon, Johnson etc. what we needed was quality proven player. I’d Prbly the champo is tough league as any and Solomon did well last season. So based on his age and experience I reckon he could better than Tel.

One of him or Odobert is going to get virtually 0 minutes if we bring in another LW and end up on loan or shipped out permanently in January IMO. Whichever one of them has a bigger impact in rotation games and off the bench is likely to survive the chop but we are overloaded already in the position to the point Moore has been loaned and Solomon being sold, bringing in another left winger is unlikely to be a positive thing for Tel/Odobert's minutes, especially with Johnson offering goal contributions aplenty as a bench/rotation option for either wing.

I reckon we end up not signing anyone else purely because of the selection headache it brings for Frank this and next season, realistically we could have tried to engineer a loan with no option for a decent loan fee to a promoted PL club earlier in the window for Odobert to continue his development, giving Tel the chance at minutes so we can assess him here. Think it's all a bit late in the day now though.
How can you say ‘assess Tel’ when we have paid over £40M for him already. It’s too late surely he should have been assessed already based on his loan and other variables. He did not warrant a £40M price tag and we did not need him. Why were BM happy to ditch him. They have better kids than him so wasn’t good enough. The kid that scored a great goal in the friendly is better than Tel. It’s a joke the number of people who try to justify this signing. It’s has screwed is up royally.

You swam with Piranha?

I'm guessing it wasn't just your head that came back smaller!

Sounds like you had an awesome time though Bruv, happy for you.
Amazon is teeming with them. So can’t be avoided really, if you’re gonna swim in it.

Guides just said oh don’t worry so long as you’re not bleeding you’ll be fine.

🤣😬

Just got on with it as I’ll likely not get the chance again.
