Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

4 upgrades in the starting XI - Thats more than good enough for me.
Sure, we all want a Sonny replacement. We tried for Savinho and City shut the door. Just because of that, we dont need to go buy anyone.

We need to assess likes of Odobert this season. If he cant cut it, then we should look to replace him with a class winger next season.

Watched him last night against San Diego, stated strong leading the line but boy, he looked shot after sixty minutes.

Love the man, but we did the right thing.

I'd have accepted the initial offer, then a couple of minutes before the TW closes sent him on a free transfer to Brentford.

Fuck Parrish.
I just don’t understand this viewpoint.

How is it Parish/Crystal Palace’s fault that we were faffing around with the add ons/bonuses/minor details and ultimately didn’t get the player? Woolwich paid the money and got the deal done, it’s not like we were being strung along by the club.

If we had paid the release clause immediately after Maddison got injured Eze would be a Spurs player.

Quite clearly, the pressure piled upon Daniel Levy by a couple of dozen people on the internet with made-up names has forced his hand and left him with no alternative but to act.
Errr. ..maybe not....but perhaps the Thousands protesting last season, the associated mass media coverage across all reputable channels such as the BBC, and the ever present threat of them resurfacing in the future probably had more impact than the likes Bill from Madrid or Cockney Ben from Paris wiping his arse and kissing his feet every night and day...

Imagine a club being run by ENIC with zero pressure from the fans....

Good grief

In a steady state it's probably an 8/10 window with Kudus/Simons being top signings and Palhinha + Muani also improving the first team.

But losing talismans Son, main creator in Maddison and best CF in Solanke + Kulu being sidelined brings it down to a 7.

A LW gets it back up to 8.

For 9 or 10 we need that LCB/LB cover + a CM upgrade on Biss or Bent.

Don't forget the....checks notes...20 who were protesting on Saturday.

Guy's not a winger - def 9.

Not a technical dribbler, but he's a good, technical, confident finisher.

Pleased with this as a stop-gap this season.

Let's hope he's durable!

Scoring one every other game as a striker for Juve.

Still have good stats on either wing, and has a very good ratio with assists which is an added bonus.

Started forty games last season for Juve, so looks like he's fit and durable.

If Frank can't make our forward line tick with these signings then we have a real problem.

We are better off with Simons anyway. By a lot.
