I think he overthought this one. Villareal will probably be less physically intense opposition than Spam.

Well it's not good after he got Bournemouth really wrong tactically.

We look better today than then but we couldn't get any worse, and we have barely had a shot on target in open play.

I just think Tel against two physical West Ham CBs is a terrible decision. I was genuinely shocked to see him start, especially this fixture.

Tel is an inside forward. He isn’t an out and out winger and he isn’t a CF, we either adapt a role to suit his strengths or don’t play him. Agree on Udogie coming on to give us width as well.

Udogie and one of Richy/Munai please.

Can't even be bothered with the Tel hate here. Spence has been dreadful yet not a single word. Tel has had almost no service, and is still running his bollocks off. It's like most people here want the kid to fail, just to be "proven right". Weird.

It's not Tel hate from me. I think he has potential, although as each week goes by I grow more sceptical, but this is the wrong game for him to start as a striker.

Ah Jesus come off it. He should be able to get on the ball and get involved. Completely absent. Bet who replaced him is far more involved. My granny would be better, and she's dead 30 years.
Wouldn’t have bought him, think he’s a complete waste of money.

But you can’t play a diminutive winger as a 9, lob in crosses and then be surprised that the opposition CBs don’t even need to break a sweat.
