Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’m pretty sure our bid for the London stadium was purely to make Haringay council agree to throw in some upgrades on council infrastructure. My recollection is that Haringay Council wanted a free ride whilst THFC wanted them to throw some money at it. This delayed the stadium build for a couple of years. Miraculously after we bid for London Stadium and “considered” moving to Wembley permanently Haringay council relented.

I’m not going to cite any articles but that’s my recollection. Could be wrong - G&T screws with your memory.
No it was serious with the added benifit it madebthe council play ball

Players like Jack Grealish should watch that foul and start wearing proper shin pads. this is the reason why you do.
I said exactly the same thing to my wife. She never wears them.

In the book "Destination Tottenham" Levy gives his account of the Stratford bid , we can believe it or not as we choose. He states that Spurs were invited and actively encouraged to make a bid for Stratford , he doesn't say who by. The deadline for the Olympic Stadium bid was the same day that Haringey Council Planning Committe were considering the Northumberland Park Development so he says the club needed a plan B in case NPD was rejected by the council so we put in the bid. Levy also states he was led to believe by politicians that we would be allowed to demolish the Olympic Stadium and build a bespoke football stadium, I did hear him say that on a Radio 5 programme in a discussion with Seb Coe when Coe said we wouldn't be able to do that as the stadium would be needed for some athletic events. Levy states that the Tottenham riots of 2011 was also a big influence in wanting to stay in Tottenham and not move out, a month after the riots Haringey Council passed the planning permission for the NPD project so Stratford was ditched, of course after the Archway Metals hold up the stadium plan was altered to include the sliding pitch and the iconic south stand.

PS Back to the football, after yesterdays great result most encouraging thing so far this season , 4 games and just the one goal conceded.

Like Soldado and Janssen?

Who were both older and more experienced. Strange comparison. Also they played all the time unlike Tel.
The situation Tel walked into last season was quite unusual and not exactly an environment good for fostering a 19year old's talents.
Yet he had the stones after being there 5 minutes to be the only player after getting slumped by Fulham to go right up to the crowd and talk to them. That's not for everyone, and this is why I back him to succeed in due time. He has some mental toughness about him and isn't devoid of skill. Janssen and Soldado, it is a bit early to make that assumption in my opinion.

OK fair enough he has time to improve - and rest assured, I will be thoroughly pleased if he does so. But we said the same about the two I mentioned and I think that a combination of lack of confidence and expectation did for the pair of them, as they both were bought for what they were doing in their home leagues. Tel, realistically, never made the grade at Bayern so it's hard for me to see why we invested so much money in him.
All I've got to rely on is 55 years of watching Spurs players and he's currently (IMHO) in the same bracket as Soldado and Janssen - I hope it's a rut he gets out of.

Madders having a go at the officiating, quite rightly:

Scandalous officials yesterday

Fortunately, we were good enough to win without them but it’s going to be a long season of moody whistles when they’ve decided it’s still not our turn.

If I was unlucky enough to be born a West Ham fan , Going from Upton Park to that hell hole would actually make me quit the game for good , as much as I weren’t keen on levy, he got the stadium spot on
Maybe it’s the ownership of the site, it’s in a large campus but it really looks run down.
Although levy made some errors at least he wasn’t like the dildo brothers.
