Match Spurs v Bodo/Glimt (A) - Champions League - Tues 30th Sept - KO: 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Frank cant keep going being negative. Tried that with Mourinho and conte and they got fired. Mind you first half team was shit. We need more quality in team. Not sure on Danso and never have been. Decent point in end being 2 nil down. We need a top keeper. Think we need 3-4 top signings all across pitch.
Frank's start has been very similar to Mouhrino's start in the way that we've never really looked convincing but we've got away with quite a few results.

It's got the same sort of feel to it that from the outside the results seem positive, but when you're actually watching the games, they're absolutely horrendous to watch and you can't shrug the feeling that sooner or later were going to get hammered.

Obviously the two managers are nothing like each other but the 'feel' of this start seems remarkably similar.

Very poor from almost everyone tonight.

I think the only player I was happy with was Gray. I'd also spare Richy a bollocking as he had absolutely no service. Everyone else seemed to be well off it.

Obviously the positive is we pulled it back for a point and I like that we have. Performance on the whole was awful though.

Wtf are you talking about? Going backwards?

We were 17th last season...

Are you high?
It's insane the takes I am reading tonight.

Yes we played poorly.

Frank played a team to rest as many as the starting 11 as he could.

But the squad just doesn't have the depth required, yet some how asked to lead us to the CL, with a in-cohesive mess of a squad.

And we have only lost 1 in 9 games in all competitions?

Have to be honest. I was sceptical when appointed. Let's see how season pans out. Tbh I miss poch.

Simmons is new to the league and team. He will need time. I don't think theres any need to panic but talk of top four was always crazy.

The goalkeepers not good enough Romero is an issue no matter how hard people want to focus on his positives. Porro is not a right back and needs a proper rival. Spence switching sides is not good for him or us. Danso can not play so little and be expected to hit stride. I watched this same shit undermine Davinson Sanches who look just fine against Liverpool tonight getting regular game time.

Then theres the lack of a deeplying playmaker. Because we need the option to change our approach at times. Bergval is a box to box as is Sarr its either or. Bentancur is not the player pre ACL we must find better. Then there's a massive hole where an elite wide forward should be. Then there's Richarlison...wow its a fucking void. We have to upgrade him ASAP. All this to do Thomas are you the man to do it?
I'm not a professional manager, so sadly I won't be able to try to my hand.

I don't see how he can be absolved of this circumstantial blame. Ange wasn't, rightfully so. Nor should Frank. Tactics and selections have been poor. Subs poor. If we even half decent going forward and just couldn't put the ball in the net, id be happy enough. But we look completely devoid of any idea. There are worse sides than this, believe it or not that can play well. The Bodo side for a start.

I'm sorry but this is just football devoid of any ideas or plan. There aren't the little green shoots I foolishly hope to see in every game. It's the same one dimensional stuff. Teams are creating good opportunities against us and not scoring. That won't last forever. Our fixture list has been kind. When it ramps up at the end of next month, we're fecked if we play like this.

We've also played out best football with 5 at the back so far, I fucking hate it, but those have been the best performances, but he won't go back to it and keeps persistong with this same formation which has to shoehorn one of our shit left wingers into the starting XI. This just feels like a bad fit.

This. We finished 17th in the EPL one point above relegation. Then we lost Maddison, Sonny. We are further ahead than we should be. Expectations need to be adjusted. BUT Frank needs to be more ruthless and more honest about how much we need to improve him included.

100%

Leeds is another not lose, more than it is a must win.

Get to this latest and pointless international break with one defeat would be more than decent.

Then if we can get Muani and Solanke on the pitch and if Frank releases the shackles, then who knows

But so fat not bad at all.

After the transfer windows, many were quite optimistic we could get top 4 and/or a domestic cup. Then whenever we had a bad game it's always the same 'our players are never good ebough'. So how? We are so bad at selling players to begin with.
That is because people don't take a step back and look at things critically.

It was clear the squad depth was no there. It is clear a lot of player are mediocre, but to many fans don't want to face reality...

We do not have the depth of squad to challenge on all fronts, and we need to survive till January to make some very much needed acquisitions... Which is never an easy thing in January.

No he doesn’t. He just comes here because he likes to argue with people online and other residents are all asleep by now.
What a daft comment. I"ll talk football with anyone adult enough to do so.
What did you do? Oh yeah, attempted to ridicule me with ageist "jokes" about how senile I must be because of my age. Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm still in full control of my faculties.

My knees however - are a nightmare.

When it comes to supporting Spurs, I don't quit and I don't fall into depths of despair because things aren't going well. neither do I seek to have players hung from lampposts because they don't play like Pele.
