Match AS Monaco vs Tottenham Hotspur. Wednesday the 22nd of October 2025 UCL

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A lot of misplaced passes in that game. Our players are definitely better than that. I wonder if the pitch had something to do with it.

Vicario was the star for us.

This is very much a work in progress, and attacking play will take time to develop. For Frank, European competition is a steep learning curve, but he and his team are doing well.

As much as his play can be frustrating, we lost defensive shape when Bentancur went off. That's something for Frank to work on. Bergvall had a bad day at the office, but he'll learn from this experience.

A draw is a creditable result. Bright points for me were Archie, who continues to make excellent progress, and Kolo, who's at an early stage, but already looks several times better than Richarlison.

Spot on, criminal how we were in a good place to progress, clear ahead of that lot and now we're looking up at them because we fucked it when we had the chance to actually cement it. If these Lewis kids are actually serious we'll see major moves in January and if not we know it's more of the same cowardly nonsense that leads to players like Johnson, Danso et al playing CL games for us.

Harsh on Danso, he's the best third CB I can remember Spurs having in many many years. But agree with the rest of your post.

Angie’s last 10 league games were miles worse than this! You don’t have to harken too far back really.. at the very least we are not conceding goals left right and centre anymore.
Circumstances were very different. League was over, we did what needed to in Europe, not that it was much. This is a preseason with a largely healthy team, £200m of signings he wanted, and we're absolutely woeful. Never look like scoring a goal that isn't a set price and we get dominated for spells in every game.

This isn't good enough. Is he better than Ange, yeah, probably. That shouldn't be a barometer to measure success.

Mate come on, we were far fucking worse last season.
I'm pretty sure we're actually around the same against the opposition we've played on the league. And being better than 17th shouldn't be how we measure success.

We're a few weeks away from being 13th-14th. Not exactly the type of improvement I want to see. The football is also just unwatchable. This is Spurs, not some plucky promoted team.

Might be a bit harsh on him because I hate waiting for him to take long throws but I'd also add, he's bang average on the ball, good at winning some headers but doesn't offer much else. We can definitely do much better and there's no reason why we can't afford to. That lot have got Hincapie as a 5/6th choice defender and we're talking about Danso?

Didn't see the game but people here are seemingly unhappy...was it really that bad? At least we got a draw away from home...

No it wasn’t that bad. Monaco arent a bad side. We didn’t play well but with more conviction could have won it in the end.

People seem to have forgotten how shit we were last season. Maybe they should remind themselves by looking at the europa league group game performances again.
