Match AS Monaco vs Tottenham Hotspur. Wednesday the 22nd of October 2025 UCL

But even then it was hot and cold for the first 6 months or so.

From where we were last season, is going to take months, if not years to address, and we don't have a magic money tree to spend insane amounts to fix it all in one go.
Totally understandable it will take time. But theres no sign of any improvement and seem to be getting worse.
Our midfield were absolutely non existant just like ange times. Benta and paulinho sat right on top of centre halves again and bergval was on top of richie. Leaving the whole midfield free. Just cant see what we're trying to do.

Dont forget our much lauded coaching staff. We looked severly undercoached and clueless tbh

I’m disappointed in a way but then on reflection silly to expect we would be smashing the CL when we barely deserved to be in the PL after last year. The depths we’ve fallen to are severe and I do feel we’re now progressing. We shouldn’t be in the CL - it’s almost a waste of time. Just hope the experience helps grow and improve the players especially the youngsters. A draw in Monaco is OK.

Another moron to the ignore list!

Circumstances were very different. League was over, we did what needed to in Europe, not that it was much. This is a preseason with a largely healthy team, £200m of signings he wanted, and we're absolutely woeful. Never look like scoring a goal that isn't a set price and we get dominated for spells in every game.

This isn't good enough. Is he better than Ange, yeah, probably. That shouldn't be a barometer to measure success.

So you admit there have been many worse performances in the very recent past! Hard to take anything you say seriously when you’re coming out with those kinds of assertions.

If you offered our squad or Monaco’s to 99% of neutrals they’d choose ours.

Somehow we also never have a system that makes players look better than they are but every team we play seems to have exactly that.

Akliouche is the only player in their squad that really looks a serious talent. They ripped us apart at will.

Imagine if we had Minamino coming off the bench? The board would get ripped to pieces
Generally, true... There's only one or two Monaco players tonight you'd like to see in our team... but, like Morgan Rodgers at the weekend, or someone like Somenyo, THEY'RE the game changers we don't currently have in abundance!

Good lord. Compared to last season, which was an anomaly, yeah. If the next gen of this team is to go from super shit, to really shit, then fair play, were class.

Anyone that enjoys watching this dross is a masochist.

Everyone knows its a work in progress and Frank needs time but there were far few players carrying the load tonight. Injuries are just an excuse - there is a bad energy vibe resonating from some of the players. Hopefully it turns around soon
