He was always one for the future. Think it's still too early to say whether he's a good signing or not. Lad's clearly extremely talented.

Regardless of his talent, though, I think there have to be big question marks around the decision to spend a big fee on a kid with no defined position when we had gaping holes in the squad.

I assume we signed him with the idea of making him into a defensive midfielder (and covering sone minutes at right back) but he looks far better as a box-to-box midfielder so far. And we've signed 2 other youth prospects in Sarr and Bervall who also look best as 8s.

We seem to be decent at identifying talent but poor at squad building and lining up pathways to the first team.

People are using an injury as an excuse to shit on a 19 year old that’s looked excellent in every appearance he’s been given this season?

Because our manager has decided that he needs to start 2 obedient fridges to kick people and take no risks if he wants to survive the way PL football is played now?

Fucking weirdos

Unlike most of the posters on these threads, I know next to nothing about sports science, so I'm a bit confused.

Are ALL injuries to players, whatever their clubs, the fault of the medical team or is just the case with us?

From people's views here, it certainly seems like the latter.

Agreed, although it should be said that those "obedient fridges" were outstanding on Sunday.

I hope that some of this £100m ENIC investment is spent on TOTALLY OVERHAULING the entire Medical department... This isn't just on Ange...

Our injury 'curse' has gone back since the 1990's... it's nothing new ...
In fact, after THAT long with relentless injury issues dogging us for THAT LONG, I'd say it's less of a 'curse' and more gross negligence or ineptitude from the top down....

When Liverpool or Arse have one or TWO injuries, it's National news and we all have to step aside and make allowances for it.... 0
We've got 10... TEN.... TEN!! at the moment... and we're not even out of October!!! FFS!

Damn it Sours, I was trying to stay SO positive today!

Ok, ok.... Breathe 1882 1882 ... Breathe... we've still got this:

I imagine every club's fanbase hates their respective medical team when it's convenient.

Maybe ours are good, maybe they're shit, maybe it's just freak luck. Unless we get insider info or reporting on them it's impossible to know. So they end up just being a convenient scapegoat because it's easy to point the finger at them.

Woolwich also have a ton of injuries atm and last season too. Their medical team must also be shit I guess?

I think some people just always need to have an opinion and/or someone to blame for everything.

Oh. I was reliably informed it was Ange causing all the injuries.
