'For an 18 yr old that is invaluable to his future career in the tough new environment which he has chosen and hopefully the club will reap the benefits down the track'

Oh the irony.

Didn't Shankly say "if they are good enough they are old enough'?

Wayne Rooney was 16 years old when he made his Premier League debut for Everton against Tottenham on August 17, 2002. He made a significant impact in his first game, and a few months later, he scored the winning goal against Woolwich on October 19, 2002, a moment that made him famous.
Now name the dozens, possibly hundreds of 16 year old debutants that didn’t have a great career.

For me Tel, Oderbert and Xavi are starting to "settle" and have shown improvement.
I hope to see all 3 start against Woolwich, along with a single pivot of Pally.
Bergvall should be available and in, same with Kudus.
Put Udogie on the left, Spence on the right to give Porro what looks like a much needed re-boot and I think we'll get something from this game.

COYS!

Whatever mate.

I think you and many others are living in cloud cuckoo land, and allowing bias and nonsensical expectations to take hold.

And you or anyone using the Woolwich game to suggest it might add pressure, in the near certain likelihood that we lose, might as well start calling for Frank's head now.

Ridiculous and weird fanbase and getting worse.
If you want to watch the worst football in living memory, then I respect your decision. Imagine wanting to se actual football, and being called cuckoo for it.

There used to be a football club here. Sad.

Outside of a really poor run of results, completely agree.

For perspective, even Slot would be under pressure if Liverpool had another 7 PL games and suffered 4 or 5 defeats.

I am not pro or anti- Frank, but he has to be given a fair chance to deliver.

The game against that lot, win or lose, does not make or break that belief and only imbeciles will use either outcome in that manner.

The same as the many who apologised to Postecoglou and called for him to stay, when we won the Europa. It's got to be a view of the whole picture and not just a segment in isolation.
What if they beat us 5-0 and it could have been ten? Then what... suck it up and carry on...

Also, was Nuno given a fair chance to deliver?
