Match PSG v Tottenham Hotspur Wednesday 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

it was much more enjoyable than the crap we’ve been served up . Bergval has to start to give us that energy in the middle. Thought the 3rd goal killed us - I do blame Romero who I thought was poor 2nd half . Wouid like Frank to coach how to block shots from the edge of the area , that’s the 4th one we’ve conceded in 2 games but all in all , not disappointed , nowhere near PSG level but we had some fight and scored some goals . Fulham is now a must and I don’t want to see the double bloody pivot .

Jesus man. I've said a billion times I'm not looking for success. 8th was the absolute ceiling as far as I was concerned, that's hardly successful.

After weeks of shite tactics, terrible team selections, puzzling subs, dreadful football, shite everywhere on the pitch with 20/30 mins here and there that are okay, is not good enough.

Shit fans are the toxic positivity oddballs, who get served up shite and thank the club for it. The cultists like you who are immovable and laughable in their defence for a coach who has no ties to us, but seems to get a special pass.

If you can't look at how bad it is here at face value, then you're an idiot and a shit fan. You and your little minions were laughing at me weeks ago when I said I was worried about what we were seeing, now most of them have wised up, and laughing at you and your odd club, who go on like deranged people.

Keep up the comedy routine though, it's pretty entertaining. Imagine get beat, again, and you all have your chests out like we actually did something.

Sad to see how low our standards are here.

Layer upon layer or projection and strawman. As always.

Your posts simply aren't worth the energy you use to type them..... You're just screaming at a wall.

Thanks I did, apart from the 'dirty' chips at the ground. My order no was 66, good job it wasn't soixante neuf, now that would have made me blush!
I had an order numbered 69 in a McDonalds recently, and the lady behind the counter took great delight in calling out "69 please", and I was only too happy to go along with the implied innuendo, which resulted in a very funny moment for both of us.

From what I saw via the medium of television, I think that Sarr went over too easily, and was looking for a foul when he came under pressure from Romero's pass, when he should've got rid of the ball by any means necessary, and the ref was having non of it.
However, as previously posted, Vic's ill-judged pass to Romero initiated that whole sorry sequence of play in the first place.
I'm still to see a replay that shows the PSG player get the ball.

But yes caution was probably the best play but fuck me - we complain when they don't try and play football so...

Find it bizarre that we are at the stage of applauding the team for showing fight and intent. That's the bare minimum they should be putting in as professionals. Regardless it was better that Sunday.

But still concerned about shipping 9 goals when in the first game we played 5 defenders plus 2 defensive midfielders. Then today 4 defenders plus 4 defensive midfielders.
I just think we have bodies behind the ball but we are way too passive defensively. So many goals conceded this season where there is no pressure on the ball in midfield. Even when we have athletic midfielders.

Kolo muani showing something up front and also gray played well. Need to see more minutes from them both.

I can’t understand looking for a moral victory here. They pinned 5 goals to our faces. We worked a nice goal for the opener, and it wasn’t all bad, but after they’d awakened no one could lay a glove on them but their own player whom they loaned out.

Critical to get a result this weekend

Yeah it's definitely an issue.

Think Frank as a data guy is far more concerned about stopping high % chances in the box and, as a result, we're a bit more content to let players take long range shots and gamble the overwhelming majority won't go in.

Think teams are cottoning onto this, though, and we're being way too lax and sloppy about letting top class players shoot from range.

We've probably been a little unlucky the past 2 games with the sheer quality of the finishes, but it's clearly an area of weakness for us atm.

Vics ball was sweet Cuti had loads time,he should have been opened up to his right to receive the ball ,had plenty time to sort his feet and shape out.
Sarr should have known man up his arse and been stronger with elbows up.
Bents was taken out if it..
And if really wanna be Anal young Archie could have been over a bit closer if anything ,but hard to sniff that out …..

Yeah man, so many angles to that situation. I'm also assuming that Romero wanted to offload asap, and completely agree that Sarr should've been stronger in retaining the ball. However, I still think Vic was wrong to play out from the back when so many PSG players were sniffing around.

I just think that Sarr's soppy reaction could've influenced the ref's decision, which is of course pure speculation, as we're not privy to the ref's thoughts. Personally, I thought we played some decent football.

After the recent dross we've been watching it was hugely enjoyable up until the point we started losing. We just lost 5-3 to the best team in Europe, not Bodo/Glimt ffs!
Yeah I think context is key tbh. You're away against one of the best teams in Europe - even with a peak Poch team we wouldn't be going into that game expecting a win or a dominant performance.

Conceding 5 goals was shit but some of them were truly world-class finishes and we at least put up a fight, showed up and gave out a few punches rather than bending over and spreading our cheeks like we did vs Woolwich and Chelsea.

If we'd won the 2 games prior the people slagging it off would be far more accepting of that performance as PSG are way more talented than us, but given the general mood of despondency, ofc people are looking for any excuse to put the boot in.

Obviously we're still not great but anyone who didn't see a huge improvement over our other big games recently is being disingenuous and just wants to shit on Frank. He didn't repeat the same mistakes and he's trying things - that in itself is a small positive.

Richarlison was excellent, put in a good shift; and having a 2nd striker next to him brought out his best.

Spence was terrible; and should have gone off early in the 2nd half. He was gassed and lost concentration very early.

Bergvall showed a bit of rust early but grew into the game. He is going to be one of the best players in Europe and Spurs really need him playing more often.

This odd habit Spurs have of retreating into their 18 yard box and surrendering the ball is proving suicidal. Spurs need to be aggressively pressing the other team for 90 minutes - not gassing out and waiting till the 80th minute to make changes. Subs should have been immediately after making the game 2-1 in the 50th minute. Muani off (hard call since he had just score) and Kudus on to give width, and Palhinha on for Grey to protect the defence. Along with Spence (who was dead) for Udogie
