I'm not overhyping it. I'm saying it should be in the top five or six... the manager is getting nothing from them... we have a better squad than Brighton, Palace, Sunderland, Brentford and Everton... all these teams are above us. I can make a strong argument we have a better squad than United too.

Disagree with Brighton and Palace. Both their first 11’s and squad are better than ours.

The rest is up for debate.

So many of our players don’t get near these sides.

I’d like Frank to be a little more annoyed when we lose.
After yet another loss at home yesterday he started off his post match talk with: “First and foremost I’m extremely proud of the players and the team”. He seemed quite pleased with everything….
Absolutely. We conceded a 93rd minute equaliser to Man U a few weeks back and he was absolutely buzzing afterwards because he liked what he saw in parts of the second half. Worrying.

We have a better first 11 than Brighton, and arguably Palace if you analyse the respective squads and the first teams that could take to the field.

Frank can't match the expectation and as a result we look worse than the individual parts.

We have a squad, managed more effectively that should now be in the top 8 minimum..

Now I know for sure you are not serious... go through each squad player vs player and tell me who is better. I'll tell you what I'll make it easier... who would you want from each of those teams in our squad and dont say Guehi. He wouldn't get in our team in front of Romero or VDV and not sure he's any better than Danso. I'd take Wharton and that's about it. And no, Mateta is no better than Richarlison. They both have 7 goals this season. As for Brighton, maybe Baleba but again but think many are overeating him. And if we even thought about buying Welbeck everyone would be up in arms. Honestly, absolute nonsense if you think either of those squads are better than ours. They both have better managers and thats it.

Post above - hmmmmm....

Guehi gets in before both Romero and Van De Ven. It's not even in question. One of either partners him.

Whatton walks into our first team, and because of his physicality and power, so does Mateta, although I think none of the 4 strikers are that good.

And Henderson gets in ahead of Vicario for sure.

The left back at Palace unless Van De Ven moves there.

The rest ours probably.

maddison is a huge loss, hes our best footballer no doubt about it, we look clueless without him which is why the XG is so low.

Maddison was a member of the Leicester City squad that was relegated.

He also missed lots of their games, while they were fighting relegation, due to injury.

dont think frank is the man for the job now, made too many mistakes for me, but i dont think theres many managers out there that can get this pile of shit to be a top 6 team.

Off the top of my head I would offer Martin O'Neil or Michael Carrick as decent interim managerial choices who i believe would get more from the group of players THFC currently have.

Spurs have a sequence of 6 pointers against the likes of Burnley, Brentford and West Ham in January.

We need the 3 points from all of those games.

We are not getting 9 points from those fixtures with Thomas Frank.

Maddison gets in. Nothing to do with injuries but his respective quality, if you put the right players next to him.

All players get injured, so that's not what you assess.

It's also combinations that make teams, and for managers to find them withn their squad of players.

Frank has his favourites but if you win 1 game in 10, you fall by poor judgement as well as all the other contributory factors.

He doesn't play enough games, due to injury, to play for a top team.

Maddison is now 29 years old.

If we want to tread water in the Premier League then Maddison may have a role to play as a squad player; off the bench.

Maddison is never playing 38 league games, or two games a week, and avoiding injury.

Availability is the best ability.

There was context around 17th which you are choosing to ignore and are treating it like a new norm. Why not look at the season before when we finished 5th with a squad inferior to our current squad. I loathe anyone who uses last season as a reason to excuse Frank for the shit show being served up every week. Just fuck off, the lot of you... and take Frank with you.
Ange’s first season was a fluke start built on early momentum. We kept winning at the beginning, but after Christmas the wheels came off, we got found out, and we finished on 66 points.

Next season collapsed for a mix of reasons whether injuries, players downing tools, and a focus toward the Europa. That’s how you end up with 38 points.

With Frank, I’d expect around 60 points, which is about our true level. I’ve never been in denial about the actual level of this squad.

A very simple test. How many players for Aston Villa or Crystal Palace would get into our team?

Villa: Martinez, Konsa, Tielemans, Kamara, Onana, Rogers, Watkins

Palace: Henderson, Guehi, Mitchell, Wharton, Mateta

Our squad is just mediocre. It is what it is.

You are missing the basis of the question, as it's pretty much entirely hypothetical.

So answer it in that sense.

I kind of get why he said that though as with 10 men we showed more intensity then I have seen with 11 in a long time, the question I am asking though is why do we need to go a man down for that to happen, why can't the manager get this kind of intensity from 11 players from the start?

I also think we are very lucky that Liverpool were so poor yesterday, any other team from the Top half of the table and we are getting done 5 or 6 nil!

We have better players, bar a few however Brighton and Palace both have better Teams, and thats down to the managers....... The Fact that Frank can't make a good team or at least show some signs that he can out of this squad of players is a major Red Flag, this "we finished 17th" last season is bollox, I would have liked to have seen a manager come in and remind everyone that we are "Champion's of Europe" and this is the start of a new Era, the Longer this fraud stays here the more damage he is going to do!

If Maddison was fit and available he would be a better option than Xavi Simons at the moment.

That is the best I can do.

James Maddison was a great young player; when he played for Norwich City.

The time for Spurs to buy him was at that point.

Right, now you get it. Exactly. I agree but that's not the question.

What we need to see from Frank or whoever is more effective use of the squad, which is coaching, setting the right mindset and picking the right players.

None are in evidence and soon Frank serms likely to be consigned to a very short part of our history.

Palace have fuck all depth though, they are starting to struggle now with the mid week European games , I bet Glasner would love to have the kind of depth we have , granted some of our players are trash, however I was sold this vision of Frank being the kind of manager that works with what ever ingredients he has and is such a tactical genius that he can get a tune out of them , now its just "we finished 17th Last season" what can we expect from Frank.

I am trying to look at it objectively and i'm asking myself what players has he improved, what is his system here, how does he want us to play, and I'm struggling to answer any of them, I think players have actually got worse under him, look at Sarr , maybe we could say he has done well with Richie, however this is the first time Richie has stayed injury free for more than a few months!

I'm all for giving managers time, however there needs to be some signs of improvement, some green shoots showing that says he is going to work out and he just needs time, however this is looking like Nuno all over again !!!
