"Now tell the Spurs fans they're taking another cheap punt on a teenage prospect"

ant-dec-ant-and-dec.png

I really don’t understand singings like this, why does it seem like we are never trying to develop our own academy players? They are never given a chance always stuck out on shitty backwater loans for years.

What's to say this lad doesn't improve us straight away. It's not like there is a ton of superstar competition to beat out.
What’s to say ?

History be your guide my friend.

This will be from Lange’s development budget and won’t be intended as a first team option, when it turns out in 3 years he was shit, Lange will be gone the way of Steve Hitchin and he won’t be accountable for the waste of another development opportunity for a British player.

VdV has 3 years left in the summer, gonna take at least 80 million.
So really just leaves Madrid, PSG, Liverpool as realistic choices

Romero don't see who will buy him for price we'll ask for now he has a much longer contract
VDV will force the move and go for alot cheaper. That one is going to end very toxic. Let's hope he heads to Spain because I've a feeling it'll be much worse and might be the closest we get to the next sol Campbell situation. The gap between us and Woolwich is the biggest its been since then, so they could potentially poach our best players again.

Romero's hands are tied but I'm sure he'll do his best to have Athletici make a bid.

If we buy Souza, a teenager, it will be another £xxm wasted that could have gone towards a bigger player. I had to Google him. He's inury-prone, so I guess that's why we want him, and being young and Brazilian, just what we need for the cold winter months.

Does this club seriously just go out to get anyone that will come here, when I haven't even seen half the other young players we bought, play yet.

What a marquee signing.

I'll hope this kid is decent obviously. And good luck to him. You never know, maybe one day we'll hail him as a Spurs legend....

But like you said, what the fucking hell is this club's strategy. Bunch of people who are beyond clueless, getting together on an absinthe sesh and playing obscure footballer cluedo

So, Romero, VDV, Tel, Dragusin, all want to leave. Looks like a rebuild !!
Frank has giving Tel little to no game time. He also left him out if the champions league squad. He's only played when we've had injuries and nobody else available. Can't blame him for wanting out.

Cant blame Romero and VDV either. They have the potential to play for top teams and we are never going to be that. We are in the process of signing a teenager to play left back beside them ffs. They know we aren't serious

This team is going to turn into either Brighton with the free download version of their scouting team and shittier players, or West Ham with a really nice stadium.

I'm not writing off the player

I am writing off the sporting director that found him
Fair.

But the same people writing off this player they've never seen would be absolutely wanking themselves to dust if it was 90m on Diomande.

Another player they've not seen a minute of.

But simply because he's 90m, he's not a punt.

They'd accept a 90m punt but not a economically harmless one.

They prefer transfers like NDombele and Sanchez to Eriksen and Dele.

What's even funnier is they say "why can't we be like Brighton and find the Balebas and Caicedos of the world before them".

Who were cheap punts from South America themselves.

Numpties. Stupidity is loud.
