Definitely need a attacker in some shape or form
To lose three players to long term injuries, plus the two already with long term injuries
And Johnson leaving
When we register our squad for the second half of the season
There is going to be be to many gaps in it

I've made "discreet enquiries" into taking Sydney Sweeney to bed.

I was told to fuck off - but probably more politely than Parrish was to whoever at Spurs "discreetly" asked about buying Wharton...

People get very fixated on sigular solutions. I do it, we all do.

Get passer = better build up just doesnt quite add up for me.

Get passer + get players moving (fucking coach them!) = better build up does

The player/attribute in isolation isnt enough

And so far, under Frank particularly, I just dont think itll make the impact you hope it will.

Under another manager, where we see the shape and tactics being worked on - see where this passing player fits - see the gap of their absence, absolutely! I get it...

...but context matters, and right now I think a passer would be utterly wasted.
Its the chicken and the egg, if we get a passer them we can have players making moves, We've been trying these long diagonal crosses from Porro, for whatever reason his passing has worsened. We've been playing long balls out of defence, which are inaccurate.

You may be right, I may be wrong - wouldnt be the first time.

But I firmly believe, right now, coaching is our single biggest issue (lack thereof) and it wont matter much what we add to the squad until that situation changes.

Watch Gallagher tomorrow, I bet by the hour mark he just has that "wtf?!" look on his face, when hes expecting people to move and they dont, pass and they dont, support his press and they dont...

I think he is going to be a quick favourite with his attitude and work rate, but I also think aside from a lot of huffing and puffing he probably wont make much of an impact (and it wont be his fault)

I agree the coaching doesn't seem good but I still want a player that is a very good passer to be signed, basically if we do get some forward momentum going its likely to be more accurate.

As for Gallagher, he must have watched our team play this season, he surely can't be being hoodwinked into thinking the team are a good pass and move unit.
