Match West Ham (H) 17/01 - 3PM. Here we go again…

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They are still shit at corners and without Mavropanos it will be Kilman and Todibo trying to cope. Nuno is virtually forced to play Soucek just to give the a chance at set pieces and he is one of the slowest players going these days.

In theory this should be a favourable match up for us, but my prediction remains 0-0

Its an interesting one

On principle, I dont think Bissouma deserves to make the squad

Will the manager stick to their principles? Or, now that we're in a bind, will he makes use Bissouma?

Thing for me is, if he does use Bissouma, he'll regret it. Because thats what Bissouma has done since we have signed him, let us down.

Not said with any vitriol, just genuine disappointment.

If he was half the player for us he could have been, he'd be a legend by now. The absolute perfect profile of player our midfield has been screaming out for for years - but he has just never performed for us.

...until tomorrow!

Frank is about to unleash the
Paulissoumallagher triple pivot!

[LINEUP]Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Udogie?
Gray Gallagher
Odobert Simons Tel
Solanke[/LINEUP]
Subs: Kinsky, Spence, Danso, Paulinha, Bergwall (if fit?) Bissouma, Muani, Scarlett, LWB?

I'm going with the "If fit" starting line up, get Udogie and Solanke in from the off and try to settle the nerves and blow them away early!

Failing that, start with Davies/Spence LB and Muani up top, and trudge and struggle our way through the first half, before calling on the 'Cavalry' for the final 15 minutes to try and salvage SOMETHING!

FWIW, I think Gallagher has a debut goal in him, and I genuinely think Bissouma will play a part... (Though obviously not from the start!)

Also, Hietinga to get into a heated touchline spat with the West Ham bench... NAILED ON!

I am very sure he puts Gallagher as a #10

Question then is, does he drop Xavi or drop Tell and put Xavi LW?

My bet is the latter, because its probably the worst option

Agree with this team.

I doubt Gallagher can play 90 in the prem after a year and a half out. Makes sense to have Palinha as an experienced MF to come in and effect the game if needed.

Id probably start Palinha over Gray, but otherwise the same team

Palinha sitting* allows Gallagher to do the box to box thing, win the ball high up, play with Xavi, but get back and support when we're defending.

Palinha is much better suited to that than Gray

*Anyone else notice that while thats what Palinha 'should' be doing, he's actually the one breaking forward a lot? I wonder if Gallagher signing will change that

Not with Bentancur out... In Gallagher, we've got the #8 we need right now... I think Bergwall WILL be that player long term .. But that's for the 2028/29 CL winning campaign!

Plus, with our attacking options SO slim right now, Kudus/Kulu/Maddison/Richie❌ and Solanke only just returning, I think Xavi is the only true creative player we HAVE, so a shame to waste him on the bench, or our wide...

Solanke won’t start. Muani up top unless he has the balls to start Dane, which is what he should do.

Well they say "it's good to have options"

...sadly, it's the only selection option we have right now... The rest of the team kinda pick themselves!🙄

That is the obvious, sensible answer.

But is it the Frank answer?

He's already played Bergvall and Gray as #10s, we know he has caution-ocd. He has already profiled Gallagher as a #10 (I believe, sure I saw in his comments).

Can you see Frank resisting the urge to play him at #10, have the most robust/solid midfield possible, and maybe even win the ball and get some transitions in the final 3rd?

I cant...

Should be looking forward to this.

Should be a fun day, spanking one of the worst teams to ever “grace” the league.

Should be a chance to get some minutes into some fringe players.

Should be an opportunity to get our new signings on the pitch.

Should be an easy win.

Should be.
