If you are talking about Relegation, then the problems are football related not investment. We invest more than most of the teams in the PL. We lost to Bournemouth who had an attendance of 11000 against us. Palace are selling their best players and their Manager is leaving. only when you are talking about getting Top 4/5 is investment the problem. Last summer under Levy we knew Maddison & Kula were out for best part of the season. They brought in Kudus, Muani & Simons. Most were happy with all 3. Solanke has been out but we did not expect that when the window closed. Why they bought Tel after a poor season I find difficult to understand. Frank did not use Johnson who can score but does not contribute much else.
Those 3 have all been a disappointment and in my opinion the reason for our demise. Is that down to the Manager’s coaching, poor scouting or the players themselves, I am not sure. It is the lack of a threat up front that encourages teams to attack us and we just do not have anyone that can put the ball in the net consistently.
Our demise is in the football department including Lange & Frank & the players. We have 2 weeks to get a goal scorer in and if we don’t then replacing Frank, Lange , Vinai or ENIC will not make any difference this season. What has getting rid of Levy achieved? In recent matches Romero has realised the lack of goal scoring from the forwards and gone up front himself and been more successful. Buying a midfielder will not change it.
