John Duran and Lookman. Telling me they wouldnt get into our team?
They might for now. But are they really the players you want to build around? Short term fixes are why we have this God awful squad. If we sack Frank, we'll stay up. I'd rather sign no one than the names we're linked with, and the fact that we signed a complete non factor on Gallagher, makes me think of they do with someone, it'll be awful anyway. I wouldn't trust Lange with a couple of quiet, never mind 10's of millions.

Very wishful thinking but hopefully one of the reasons we're not spending big in Jan is because they want a clean slate in the summer and intend to fuck off Lange and get a new guy in as DoF.

Akliouche can play ACM and Inverted RF.

I know IRF/ARM is the priority of the three positions but we really just need attacking options that can rotate games and in games that mean an injury to one player doesn't immediately render us positionally defunct. Our bench/rotation is generally garbage. Look at Woolwich, Chelsea, Liverpool

Not top top priority, but I'll take any good quality attacking additions that make us more competitive and less predictable.

It's a yes from me.
In terms of playing style and position he's pretty much a straight Kulusevski replacement. Bit more agile and comfortable centrally but reminds me quite a lot of him.

So if Kulu is perma-fucked I think it's a very decent signing. Basically covers for Maddison and Kulusevki in one move.

With Odobert now a RW, we need someone who actually plays LW… Akliouche seems much more a RW/CAM than a true LW/LF. He fits the profile more of a Kulusevski replacement.

So looks like we' re going to finish the season with the same shit minus Johnson and a couple of shit cheap players ....we deserve relegation!

I suspect Frank may want to move us to a 3-5-2 ala Conte.

Vic
Danso - Romero - VDV
Spence - Gallagher - Xavi - Palhinha - Udogie
Solanke - RKM

Not signing any wide attacking players to replace Kudus and Johnson suggests the plan is for Porro, Udogie and Spence to offer the width up top.

This would lead to Gallagher, Bissouma and Dragusin being added to the Champions League squad and giving plenty of strength in midfield and defense.

Up top, Solanke, RKM, Richy, Tel, Scarlett provides rotation and firepower; with Odobert able to cover a variety of attacking and wide positions. Tel can be assured of a starting spot in the EPL; with RKM focused on Champs League.

Wtf

Spurs have to play the strongest formation and line up they have available to them.

- We cannot play through the middle without elite passers
- Not enough pace to play on the counter
- 1 fit winger in the entire squad (Odobert). RKM and Tel have shown, they are NOT wingers.
- 5 center forwards in the squad, we cannot play a system that only has 1 playing.

We've seen Udogie and Spence being played further up the pitch as wingers in last couple of games. There seems no desire (or urgency) to sign wide forwards to fill the void left by Son, Johnson and Kudus - which's suggests the plan is 3-5-2 - This allows Bissouma to also play his best position and rotate with Gallaher, Sarr and Palhinha.

Nobody is coming in.

We need a robust player who can take a knock.

352 makes sense but please don’t make out this was planned. We have no fucking plan. We just failed to sign players and are left without options

Dragon offers no strength in defence, he’s clearly not good enough

as for your firepower comments…..None of those players provide firepower. I like Solanke but he’s not a goal threat, the others are woeful and less dangerous than a NERF gun

Just when you thought the club couldn't provide an even shittier window, somehow, in a season of underperforming they have managed it.
This is the worst Tottenham team for decades, the new stadium is the game changer like levy said it would be.
We can't win in it, that was and is the game changer there along with, taking the team down the league from a position of strength.
Yet again, we never saw this coming so, fantastic vision from those involved to get us there.
Another shambolic window with excuses to follow, only matched by the manager and team performances.
Well done Tottenham for ruining a once great club 👌

We more or less know the names being thrown around in the late stages of the window (particularly for mid(dish) table teams. You’re complaining about buying no-one and complaining about overpaying for an average forward. Strand-Larsen looks to be going for about £50m Who can we spaff a fortune on that will move the needle for you?

I love that word ‘spaff’. I just wanted an opportunity to use it.
You do realise I’m not a highly paid employee of a football club who is meant to have a global network of contacts . Whose very job it is to do what you are asking of me . Should you like to understand more about the global movement of commodities or how the derivatives market works I will happily give you a run down.

EDIT ; Actually I won’t cos life’s too short to type all that out , but my point remains
