Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We're not signing anyone, fuckers, so don't do it to yourselves.

We're a goddamn shambles of a club.

This window, given our predicament is the worst, most neglectful window ever.

That the owners made a public announcement of an injection of money, and removed the long-standing CEO, presumably for issues around transfers, merely compounds matters.

The owners barely deserve the vast riches being in the PL and CL bring.

Utterly disgusting and I completely reject any notion decent players could not be found. It's rubbish.

What this CEO and technical director do is beyond me, and should not be left withiut comment and heavy criticism.

I have listened to a few pod casts now where tacticos are suggesting football's cyclic evolution point to a shift back towards a 4-4-2. It's how we started the second half with Solanke and Muani both playing centrally. A diamond 4-4-2, with aggressive FBs, would suit our existing squad somewhat. We'd still need a better GK, as well as a progressive passer to anchor the diamond, but we have lots of players for the other positions.
Either that or a 352 next season. Two powerful strikers, a 10 and Vuskovic in between Romero and Mickey winning all the aerial duels and physical challenges.

Get a passing midfielder, a goalkeeper and a razor sharp striker to play of Dom and we could be in business.

You won't find any arguments from me.

Hate ENIC. Want them gone BUT I'm not really sure what we're supposed to do when we're this depleted.

LW is the only position we HAVE to improve. We never replaced Son and no one is good enough to fill that roll. The issue is that you're never going to bring that player in during the January window.

Other than that, we're a fullback light and could do with a better centre forward to compete with Solanke. Vuskovic will add quality to CB next season.

I guess we've just got to grit and bear it until the summer. Beyond a joke how fucked we are injurywise. A season out of Europe will do us the world of good tbh, just so we can ease the load on returning players and build up match fitness.
Spurs could field an equally good starting 11 (apart from the goalie) with the injured players out as the one that started yesterday (I know that Romero played).
Investing in a medical staff that knows how to keep the injury list on a "normal" level to me would be just as - if not more - important than signing new players.
It also looks to me that neither Angelos nor Frank has any clue about player rotation as they have no experience of playing in the EPL & the CL.

Players out injured:

Davies
van de Ven
Romero, Danso
Spence, Porro

Bentancur
Bergvall
Maddison, Kulusevski

Richarlison
Kudus

Okay. If that's the case.....

Business as usual doesn't ignore injuries, a failing team, a manager who looks somewhat out of his depth and general discontent.

Vinai: "We will continue to invest in the playing staff"

Implying they believe they have been all along.

And if you are correct

There's no "if".

You'd have to ask them.

Levy never was the purse-strings though......

Clearly people do not remember how he'd regularly have to go cap in hand to Joe's yacht at the begining of every summer? ...Or the simple fact that Joe held 3 TIMES the amount of stock he did.
