To dare is too dear
Judging by a lot of the conversations I am hearing at the ground it feels like a lot of season ticket holders are at the end of their tether. It is definitely the closest I have come to packing mine in

Curious to see how this is reflected on here.

Some fans at start of season must have handed theirs back after previously renewing during the summer. The club were selling half season tickets, says everything you need to know about where fans are with the club

I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to hand theirs back. More likely they put some unsold ones up for sale in the hope that some of the mugs they ensnared would keep them next season.

At the old ground getting a ST was a real achievement as tickets were scarce.

These days they are offering them to people 40k on the waiting list and you can always grab them on the exchange

The main benefits of a ST now are points for away games and cup matches.

Closest I've ever been in considering not renewing, and think I've had my ST about 12 years, from WHL to Wembley and now. Nothing really to do with our horrific home form or the mental cost or toxic atmosphere (although obviously they don't help), more just personal circumstances and other commitments.

The one thing that really fucks me off is terrible kick off times. We could be playing like 1970 Brazil but a rail replacement bus for a Saturday 8pm kick off is not something I want to do these days.

It just feels like a chore to me now so often - might be time for me to move from 'supporter' to 'fan'.

There will be a core of 25-30k that will always renew.

Id be more likely to buy one if we were relegated.
:dembelelol:

I'm with you, but you do realise they will continue to charge PL prices in the Championship... their argument will be you are getting 4 more home games + 1 sky walk + 1 hour driving an F1 kart... all things you won't bother doing cause the only time you visit the area is on a match day... but don't let that be a hurdle... for £275 a night you can stay at The Grand ENIC... then do the silly karting and sky walk the next day... don't forget to visit the club shop for the new £200 Nike tracksuit made from genuine caterpillar fur. Finally, priority booking for any concerts or boxing is also included.

I will renew but it will be harder season after next if another crap season . Big difference Islington to Spurs where I still live and East Sussex to Spurs where I will be in less than a month . Need some positivity next season or I might lose the will to keep going thereafter .

Yep, me too. However I'm going to apply for a move to somewhere cheaper.
TBH, it's not the cost that would make me give it up, it's more the silly KO times and modern football in general.
I gave my ST up after we moved back to WHL. The exclusion zone around the ground is completely understandable but a nightmare for me. It’s 120 miles each way and then a train. Then the lottery of VAR and trains etc plus some ridiculous kick off times.

Been to a couple of games this season and driving down it always makes me think “hmmm, I wonder if I got offered a ST could I make it work?” Driving back the thoughts are more like “f*ck that!”

Every season I say I'm not gonna renew , and then June comes around and they threaten to sell your season ticket to one of the 30,000 on the ST waiting list - if you don't renew by said date . You can't say to them "Tell me who you're going to buy with the money" because they have enough punters queueing up to take your place . It's easy to say I'm gonna knock it on the head , but when it comes down to it , I remember the seasons before where I've relocated my seat so many times to get the spot/vantage point I'm in now , and I don't want to go through that again . I have been to nearly every away game this season too , and I'm thinking of knocking that on the head . But the emails come through and the lads phone me up to remind me and I get webbed up - same with the cup games . It costs a lot of money obviously , but what price does anyone put on Passion . I can't say it's entertainment anymore because it's so frustrating and I'm not entertained . I can't remember the last time we gave the scum a good hiding . It's all down to the club not buying the right players , If we bought players that complement our squad that's all well and good . But when was the last time we bought an elite player ?

We've never bought an elite player... maybe Klinsmann was the last one... he was the best striker in world football when we bought him... before that, maybe Gazza... we have bought players that have ended up being elite but they weren't elite when we bought them and when they become elite, we tend to sell them... Berbatov, Modric, Bale, Kane...

Agreed - You watch , I bet we end up selling VDV and the promising young Vuskovic before he even kicks a ball for us .
